This the Levi Casboult who this year recorded his highest ever goal tally of 15?
what a bizarre way to argue it. "young-ish, inexperienced forward playing his first full season and who spent a lot of time in the ruck kicked only 15 goals". I guess the Dogs shouldn't attempt to poach Daniher or Carlisle either cause they only came in at 25 goals despite playing in a better team and not having to spend as much time in the ruck

The Dogs should be looking high and wide for young KP help. Obviously Patton is out of the running. Most of the potential candidates aren't actually gonna go there. But if Casboult is receptive to a move there, the Dogs would be crazy to not explore that. Casboult offers something the Dogs don't have. You know, a big body that can mark well. If they can flip the Higgins compo pick, or something like that, to get Casboult I don't see how on earth it could be considered anything other than a reasonable move, pending contract details

Because Levi Casboult is shit, averages 0.8 goals/game as a key forward over his career and has only had 1 season where he's hit double figure goals tally?

Lewis Taylor 1st, Bontempelli 2nd and Luke McDonald 3rd, apparently.
I'd put Merrett or Aish on the podium, but i'm happy with that. Taylor played every game and had a couple of massive peaks, his very good games were the equal of bontempelli IMO.

Yes, the consistent Taylor won over the flashy Bontempelli.
Taylor was quite flashy too though.

IMO When they vote they should break it down into two categories, consistency and impact.

How I'd rank the players in each:

Consistency:

McDonald
Aish
Taylor
Dunstan
Merrett

Cunningham
Kolodjashnij
Landon
Kelly
Bontempelli

Impact:

Bontempelli
Merrett
Taylor

Dunstan
Aish
McDonald
Landon
Kelly
Kolodjashnij
Cunningham

Taylor is a worthy winner ranking high in both categories.

Is there going to be a similar outcry to when the consistent Palmer won it over the flashy Rioli?
was this actually a thing though? Maybe in hindsight but at the time Palmer was a runaway runner, future brownlow winner etc.

This is basically the first rising star award in which a league-wide outcry could actually happen imo

McCartney can't coach. Simple.

Mate reckons that he loses most games at the selection table each week refusing to give their KPPsa decent run at it.

I've got no doubt that the reason we won the second time around is because he only went in with the one key sized defender (with Austin almost never getting actual key roles). Talia played really well in the VFL that day too. I've always been impressed with their Talia who seems to struggle to get games.

**** me, Michael Talia has played 3 games this year. Anyone know if it is injuries?

16 VFL games this year, so a good run at it.

Austin might just be the worst footballer in the AFL, if they don't want Talia we should grab him
