Also, why can't Port beat Hawthorn and Adelaide? They were robbed of a GF birth last year by 3 extra men Hawthorn had in green and only lost to Adelaide last year because they lost their 2 key defenders.

I reckon Kangas will easily account for the Cats and the Tiges.
North's injury list is growing daily. Ziebell got hammered and was coughing up blood. Early reports sound like a fairly serious punctured lung, won't be playing any time soon.

Expect the Cats to get their Kardinia mojo back.

My opinion i guess i just think hawks will be up and firing a little more and Adelaide maybe had a bit of an easier start than some but doing alot right atm

I was watching the game, one was subbed out and the other was injured. You're wrong.
Nah, Just double checked and Carlile trailed Walker as he took a mark in the last quarter, so he was on the field at least to that point. Also the match report lists only Trengove as being injured.

You're Wrong.

Again.

I definitely remember both being out a week later against us.

Seriously, what would you do with Carlton's list?
Delist White, Ellard, Armfield, Warnock, Curnow, Tutt, Watson. Force Judd and Carrazzo to retire. Put the feelers out for trades for anyone else on the list that's played more than 20 games.

Unsurprisingly their best on in the VFL today was Tom Fields, comes from good stock.

Triple header today - Sydney VS GWS was a very competitive game - GWS missed Tomlinson big time - He straightens up GWS as well as taking defenders out of dangerous areas - GWS disposal is a concern - Reckon they need to target an experienced player who is an A+ kick - This can be either a half back or midfielder - Was disappointed in Devon Smith today even though he got lots of ball - His disposal was shocking.

Bris VS Rich - A yawnfest of a game - Brisabane are bad, seriously bad - Their lack of quality talls is experiencing - reassessed brisbane for 2015 - 5 wins may see them out.

Over the next 3 or 4 years I'd cut around 20 players or more and bottom out. Trade Walker, Murphy, Jamison, Kruezer, Curnow and Thomas while they have value. Cut Carrazzo, Jones, Watson, Armfield, Tutt, White, Ellard and one of Wood or Warnock, I'd say keep Warnock as he can at least win hitouts. Then there are the natural retirements of people like Judd and Simpson.

Base the forward line around Jaksch, Henderson and Casboult. Draft in key defenders, and maybe a couple of state league ruckmen (Baulderstone or Tagliabue).

I would keep Murphy.

Pretty much what is being done, clear out the last of the chaff but I would not panic and move on the veterans. I'd look for a couple of players that can be their Goddard and Chapman, strong leaders who are as much about communication and onfield coaches' voices as they are about leading by example.

Get in the ears of players like Jackson Merrett and maybe even Alex Browne who find themselves a long way down the pecking order but who can have an immediate impact and be long term players. Look, again, at using their first round pick for one of the stockpiled kids playing for GWS/GC and try to get another 2 for 1 deal.

Malthouse said he wont rush the kids just to give them games, that he wants for them to be ready. I hope for the sake of everyone that come round 10 Whiley, Sheehan, Byrne, Graham, Giles, Buckley and Boekhorst are getting serious game time because, while I agree that unprepared kids should not be playing, a team of the age of the one that played yesterday is going to be a very hard sell.

Their whole list is meh - they need the blue chip talent at the bottom end. Simply dont have it.

Bar perhaps Menzel - where are their under 21-22 guns hitting the AFL and just looking like its their stage? We are at the other end of the spectrum, yet still where is their Heppell, their Carlisle, their Daniher, their Gleeson, their Z Merrett etc?

To me, they have to hit the top end of the draft hard to get in quality kids. And a lot of em - a whole midfield in fact. Its one thing to keep looking at other club's strugglers like they did (IMHO they had a horrific recent off-season and has set them back further) - do you want to build a team to peak at scraping into the 8, or actually re-build the club?

Their next problem is Im not sure who many players they have to get rid off, in order to hit the top end of the draft hard. Cant see guys like Thomas, Kruezer, Jammo etc having much currency at all. They are battling just to stay at the level.

I'll barrack for Paddy and Angus over North winning any day. They were good when they played for us and do not forget that Paddy looked after us by wanting to get the Pick 17 to us. He didn't have to do that.
