Surely the ticket pricing has something to do it? Or it might be just the general mood towards the AFL, club memberships are all doing really well but people aren't going to games. AFL are blaming it on members not showing up but there has to be a reason that people want to support their clubs but not go to actual games.

A bizarre and nonsensical fixture might have something to do with it.
Do you mean like Sunday night games or the actual team that play? because attendances are down for all games aren't they? sure if one timeslot was failing you could put it down to poor scheduling, but Thursday night Carlton Richmond games always do well, yet the crowd was horrible. I was actually at that game and the crowd didn't even really get loud until the last quarter. Just a really subdued mood.

It's because they are a small club who have doubled dipped on memberships due to the armchair ride the AFL gives them over Tassie. They travel like 3 times outside of Tassie trips.
The AFL tried to kick us out of Tassie. They don't want us there. They want North to be the only team playing games in Tassie. The deal was initially struck up by Dicker and Tas govt and Kennett fought the AFL's attempt to kick us out when he extended the deal a few years ago.

And then told everyone that the AFL tried to bribe him to get Hawthorn out of Tassie. Got to love Jeff when he is sinking the boots into the AFL.

Why do you not travel 5 times a year for away games like every other Victorian club?

Watching Parker makes me cry for what could've been.

I don't usually care about or reflect on missing star players in the draft like Selwood/Dangerfield... but boy, Parker was the biggest steal of that draft and we were interested in him. We'll always regret not taking him.

We do?

Gold Coast next week
Sydney rd 8
Port rd 10
Crows rd 17
Freo rd 21

If you think Hawthorn gets looked after in regards to the fixture every year, you'd be in the vast minority.
