Graham Cornes' comments on this matter have, along with Smart, highlighted just how short-sighted some Adelaide Crows people are.
I'm pleasantly surprised that this decision has been overruled.
Tell you what peoples; I'll offer two predictions and will happily engage in ye old friendly sig bet for each.
1) Before the end of 2013; Hawthorn will not be a top six side. No if's, buts or maybe's.
2) Conditional on list management decisions made at the end of 2012 (ie. I'd wait until I've seen what they do at that point in time); Hawthorn will be a BOTTOM six side by the end of 2013.
Bit overdue, but I win. You're on.
I don't get this "conditional on list management decisions" though, they've either got a shit list or they don't.
Hey JaaaaaaaaaaaadeBit overdue, but I win.
1st in 2013.

I don't think we actually formalised anything in the end; I just wanted bragging right![]()
Pretty good. How's that work for ya?
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the whole Adelaide jumpergate thing was completely contrived by the AFL just to fire people up.

I know they did. That's what I'm saying. They approved it knowing full well the controversy it would stir up. Then change their minds and spin it anyway they want eg; blame a nameless intern/underling/new guy for the initial decision.
I'm used to seeing people promoted above me... Lenny, Carl, Tibor...Tibor?
personally i find it far more likely that the guy in charge of approving this sort of stuff isn't a big player (because typically this sort of stuff is just approving stuff like our call of arms jumper), and had a shocking lack of awareness over history and didn't see a problem with the jumper and saw no reason to inform everybody, rather than some sort of vlad masterplan. i mean, i don't think the higher ups in the AFL are going ahead and saying "you know what we need more of? People complaining about us!".I know they did. That's what I'm saying. They approved it knowing full well the controversy it would stir up. Then change their minds and spin it anyway they want eg; blame a nameless intern/underling/new guy for the initial decision.
So Melbourne are wearing the MCC logo at the back of the collar.
This is a wrong thing that is happening.
Or anything Carlton.ugh. give me names on the back over a docker logo any day.
-shudder-Or anything Carlton.
