So Kayo is automatically cancelling anyone that uses it in regional Australia due to streaming issues. You will only be able to stream kayo in the metro areas going forward. So I guess I won't be watching much footy this year given I'm away for most of it.

Oh but the upside is that they're offering us a comparative Foxtel subscription instead...

I find this to be unbelievable.

So many country people use Kayo. (Edit - looks to be very remote areas only. I wonder why, if the internet is good enough, why would Kayo care)

Sad part is my internet up there is better than what I have at my house in Perth.

Would a VPN enable Kayo to work in remote areas?
Should do. I use a dedicated IP to get BBC iPlayer (they tend to block multiple account IPs). May as well get an international AFL Pass at that point. Way cheaper.

Edit: scratch the second bit didn't realise they scrapped it. Kayo should work though.

On SM-G988U1 using BigFooty.com mobile app

I'm not sure if you can blame an organisation for the collective behaviour of a group of individuals that work within it. They weren't promoting recreational drug use.

Surely there’s a tipping point where the collective behaviour of individuals, (in this case on field leaders) permeates through the organisational culture and there’s some level of responsibility for management to address it meaningfully once discovered?

These are young men, often removed from their family and home network, and basically overnight given crazy money and social capital. There needs to be some support from the club to ensure they don’t go completely off the rails.

Sure, they would have known what was going and they didn’t want the media to know? Can you blame them? The Dockers would have preferred to handle it internally too if in the same boat. (As would most clubs).
I just think this narrative of “Nisbett and Worsfold have blood on their hands” is a bit wrong to be honest.
no one knows the ou

I don’t think anyone can predict what could’ve happened with different action, people make their own choices, but I’m pretty strong on the fact that Nisbett, Worsfold and the admin didnt do enough when the problems were happening. Heck half of Perth knew what those boys were getting up to, but they were still ignorant and stated that they had no idea. That’s my problem. If they “had no idea” well they weren’t doing their jobs properly. Things were so obvious. Those boys should have been stood down from playing early one which wouldve been a good reality check and circuit breaker. Just sux these players get royal treatment because they can kick a footy well

I spend about 2 months a year out of Australia. I used VPN to watch foxtel. A couple years ago they started blocking it somehow. You could change your location in Australia and sometimes connect, but all started becoming tedious.

Because they can't handle the traffic and the app is poorly built. The traffic issue I suspect is due to being satellite cheapskates.

There's one announcement that would make me happier than an Andy Brayshaw re-signing announcement, and it's this. Beyond stoked!!!

Such a shame that dreamtime isn't at optus.

Or between two teams with a higher indigenous representation across their histories.

Freo Vs Port really should be the game. Or at least the other game. Both clubs with massive indigenous representation (in the AFL at least not sure about Ports history in the SANFL). But that's something the AFL would never back as supportive as the current one.

Would love to see it though.

Places like the West Pilbara has the highest median income in the country, they're just squeezing a Foxtel membership out of us because they can, no chance it'll be cheaper or the same either. Plus there's plenty of people that use Starlink which it should work on.

Guess I have to hope the local Onslow Pub gets Foxtel and watch all my games there :-(
