Yeah, yeah after the ledger is evened up please.
The premiership ledger at least since we've been in the competition, preferably overall.

I don't really care they've won more derbies than we have tbh as long as we get the four points at the time. It's four points just like every home and away game. Don't think we'll need to worry about them in finals games for a few more years.

Free kick differential with 1 non Victorian team vs. Victorian team game left in Round 8.

Total Free Kicks in those games:
Victorian team 799
Non Victorian team 675
Difference +124 (Vic)

Winning the free kick count in those games:
Victorian team 29
Nom Victorian team 8
Draw 2

Overall differential in those games
Pos Team Diff
--------------------------------
1 Geelong +36
2 Hawthorn +19
3 Essendon +14
4 Western Bulldogs +13
5 Richmond +13
6 Collingwood +8
7 St Kilda +5
8 Melbourne +3
9 Carlton +2
10 Sydney +2

Obviously the non Vic teams just don't football as good as the Vic teams because.. You know. Not Victorian. Nothing to see here

I had completely forgotten Liam Henry exists until last night.

I wish we got more for him in the trade, but I don't miss him one bit. I wouldn't even be able to find a spot for him in our team

We never get those easy games where a team just doesn't throw the kitchen sink at us. NEVER. Dees in NT a few years ago the only one that comes to mind
The Alice Springs game was great.

Dees just went " Nope, not today."

There is an element of this for sure, but the only way to break this is to belt a few teams.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion on here, but that is why letting these 4 goal runs late in last quarters (twice in 2 weeks) when we had the game in hand is so frustrating as a supporter. It gives teams the idea that we’re still mentally a bit fragile.
I hear you but having 3 6 day breaks in a row with our travel burden is not easy. We don't put the cue in the rack early against Carlton last week and we might not have the petrol in the tank to beat the dogs. So yeah a few extra % but not the 4 points this week. Same goes for next week against the Hawks. We don't have the luxury of playing at Optus 18 times a season. Or the short flights the other interstate teams enjoy compared with us. But fundamentally I agree with you. Smashing teams properly would be nice.

You might want to read this thread. Random moments of smiling & I mean moments as in a photo from our players talking to family & it was time to fold the club & burn the place down.

Revisionist history here, that was an abhorrent performance and even the most glass half full supporters were disgusted. I remember seeing the footage (not the snapshots) and it felt like the whole team was just having a laugh in the rooms, I recall Serong being the only who looked even slightly upset by what had unfolded.

Luckily it was such an embarrassment that it changed the trajectory of our team for the better but it could’ve easily gone the other way and broken us. Fans had a right to be upset at seeing the players seemingly care-free.

Semi-related to my above comment but far out I’d be fuming seeing this if I was an Eagles fan,

Your club has won just 13 of their last 103 games and you have a senior player being this dismissive of claims that his club is in a rut (completely fair comment). Just handed Richmond (with all their injuries) their first win in 10 months (their last win was also over West Coast). Where is this arrogance coming from?

Pretty grim reflection when a leader is seemingly in denial of the state their club is in and has been in now for half a decade. I am not envious of them at all.

Yeah it’s happened so many times now that you have to question why we seem to always play teams into form. Is it our lacking ability to be able to put a team away that our oppo always think they have a chance against us?

It can’t be coincidence that we keep getting the absolute best version of teams.

To be fair, most of them seem to be furious. Any optimism they had after the first month has well and truly gone. I see absolutely nothing in McQualter whatsoever as a coach. Seems completely clueless.

I saw them all calling for Kenny on their board, and honestly, I actually get it.
