I just thought there would be more worthy players than him tonight tbh

Each to their own
There almost certainly are, like there are every single year.
The problem is that you could easily make a list of probably 50 players to match or better those on the roll already; they made a rod for their own back when they started using a de facto quota system to fit in players from 2nd-level interstate comps.

Agreed on the rod

The only thing that is hard to believe about it is they were willing to sign him up on a decent contract just a few months earlier. They couldn’t have been that concerned unless his behaviour went downhill quickly...
A club doesn't let a top 10 picked player go that is under contract to an opposition if they valued him more than a little bit. No doubt Richmond knew that he was on the table rather than just randomly deciding to try poach a contracted player from our list. Its a small world as they say and they all speak to each other about who might be available. Our club is overly nice when it comes to trades but not THAT nice that we would give away a player we desperately wanted to keep long term for a speculative draft pick in the mid 20's. Spazz's rumour post sounds accurate given the way things played out.

That says absolutely nothing to address my post.

Yeah as I said it's just a rumour and can take it with a grain of salt. He did say sort of the same things about Vardy too and both were traded at the end of the year

I suspect there are a couple of clubs that would be willing to throw some dollars at Macca... I have long held the believe that the Dogs success had a strong Macca base to it.. and once he was moved on the releasing of the brakes and a fresh voice allowed the strong base he put in place to be maximised.

The AFL must be starting to be worried about GWS ..just what would they pay I wonder to try to make the most of what they have before it falls apart. I think Macca is tough..and maybe you have to be ready to hear what he says... I suspect those guys must be on the verge of being willing to try something or they will try another club.

Can we talk about the game now please. I’ve been reading about sheep following the media all day on Twitter. I thought BF would be better, having a real conversation. You know what the real problem is with ratings and AFL it’s all the unintelligent muppets out there listening to the media drivel and not having their own opinions. I couldn’t give 2 ****s if you don’t want to watch the football tonight. If it isn’t important to you don’t ******* watch it. But don’t jump onboard the Carlton bashing train. This club is coming back really soon.

Tonight we get to see the return of JSOS I’m looking forward to see his midfield development. Another media push about the 20 year old needing to rejuvenate his career. He’s ******* 20. Give the kid a break.

I’m looking forward to see the development of jones and Weitering together who played very well on the Geelong talls last week. Who goes to buddy. Hopefully not another 10.

How will Sinclair go v Kruezer. Sinclair has been pretty bad giving first use to Sydney’s mids this year whereas Geelong just let Kruezer tap it to Cripps all day.

Jed lamb to jake Lloyd would be interesting.

Carlton’s back 6 is way too tall imo but if we play with effort like v Geelong it should be closer than people think.
So much to look forward to. Carlton goes past Geelong in 2019. Had it not been at the cattery Carlton would of won by 40. Not used to the kicking conditions. Carlton had 11 shots from stoppages. Clearly the umpire decided to let Cripps just take the Ball away did he??
The team that thinks we won’t need a ruckman. Your club is rubbish. In no mans land. Enjoy 8-12th for the next decade.
Entree for tonight. Our special little paper bag cheats sure are delusional.
