Because Richmond’s pressure and game plan has been too much for them. Easily the best side in it, the Tigers.
Yep, tigers pressure very good but the bombers didn’t turn up from the get go tonight. They were back to their rubbish footy- an erratic team.
Not handing Richmond the flag just yet- long way to go yet. Anything can happen. Well, almost.

Maybe. West Coast are at least as good this year though, and Melbourne are travelling better than anyone right now. Still a long way to go and a lot can change.
Yeah absolutely, a long way to go but I can't see West Coast getting it done in a final at the 'G against a very good Vic team such as Richmond or even Melbourne. But given they're likely to finish top 2 at this point, they'll play two finals in Perth and get an armchair ride to the GF. Unless they play a team like Sydney in the GF, I just can't see them getting it done personally.

We have a hard run towards the finals, tigers have been very lucky with their soft draw
Yeah they've had a very soft draw given they're the reigning premiers. But I think we've underestimated how good they are, particularly on the MCG. They just work so hard for each other, very committed to the cause. In my view, they have improved significantly and are a much better side than they were last year. Lets hope they have peaked to early..

ONLY at the MCG, it's been 418 years since they've won a game away from home, no exaggeration.

The only worry is they won’t have to play away from the G in the finals.
Yeah that's the problem, unlikely to leave the 'G unless they slip up in the QF. If Tigers win the QF, I reckon they are odds on to go back-to-back, particularly if they get to play a West Coast or Sydney in the big dance. Lot of water to go under the bridge, lets hope us or Melbourne can play them week one of finals and knock them off.

Richmond starting to get a few injuries. About time. They have had a dream run the past 12 months.

Darling has done an ankle too.

I don’t think we will know what west coasts chances are until they play a strong opponent at the mcg. They have had mostly home wins and the interstate wins are against low ranked teams.

I think there are only 2 teams that can beat Richmond at the 'G this year, Melbourne and us, and only if we actually bring our genuine A game.

From Friday nights match:

SYDNEY ruckman Callum Sinclair can accept a $1000 fine after being found guilty of staging for an incident early in the third quarter with the Swans trailing Carlton by a point on Friday night at the SCG.
Surely Rance has to receive at least the same for his efforts in last nights match. But considering the number of times this year we have seen players take a dive for minimal contact it's rather disappointing that it's taken until Round 11 for any action

Hawks, swans could do them if tigers are 5% off. West Coast, hard to get a real fix on them, but they do seem to be a better team and have more belief/resolve. Tigers at the G a big hurdle for anyone of course. Liking our match up on them though! We can cover Riewoldt which is a big help. Caddy can take a hike-he is not to get a touch.
Seems fairly wide open to me at this point in the year but Richmond’s draw is so soft they have a really good chance to finish top. Still expect their demanding style of play to take just enough of a toll later in season.

Waite hurt his Calf in the warm up.
Let’s hope it’s a week injury for us
Calf issues are rarely ok in less than 6 days - if it's just tightness the might risk him, but considering they have their bye the week after us, they'd be better to give him the extended rest rather than risk further injury

I’m still shocked with how well north were going considering I put them down to having a terrible year.

They are going to really challenge us next week

Absolutely. I think most if not all of us would have had this pencilled in for a win prior to the season starting. It's going to be a challenge, I'm looking forward to seeing this game. I think us being challenged can only be a good thing in the second half of the season and in the lead-up to the finals.

Lever is a big loss for Melbourne. They might have to swing McDonald back with his brother. The Dee's impetus has come from Tom McDonald coming back from injury and playing forward with Hogan.
Yeah it certainly means they'll have to change their structure a bit. The Dees will be devastated, Lever's second suspected ACL and he has come across on massive money. Got to feel for Lever too.

Rance deserves a week imo. That’s the worst I’ve seen for quite a while.
