If the AFL ever went to a best of 3 Grand Finals it would ruin the game.

The game was ruined when it became "National'
Not playing each team twice makes this an impossible competition to be a fair one.
Now it is a compromised ridiculous comp with all sorts of concessions, conditions, shortcomings and so we mope along and accept the status quo.

"West Coast coach Adam Simpson confirmed that exciting small forward Liam Ryan walked out on a pre-season training camp after struggling to meet the physical requirements.

Ryan departed the gruelling biennial camp at the Stirling Ranges in southern Western Australia and returned back to Perth.

People will offer the usual comments on his commitment etc, but I wonder why clubs feel they have the right to torture young players in the off-season. It might work for some, but all players are different.
