They are similar to Richmond this year in that when either of those sides lose, they lose by a lot and just fall away

The stats tend to agree with you. Average losing margins this year:

1. Geelong - 4 points.
2. Collingwood - 11 points.
3. Fremantle - 13 points.
4. Adelaide - 16 points.
5. Hawthorn - 18 points.
6. Sydney - 22 points.
7. Port Adelaide - 23 points.
8. Essendon - 25 points.
9. Brisbane - 28 points.
=10. Western Bulldogs - 30 points.
=10. Carlton - 30 points.
12. Melbourne - 31 points.
13. North Melbourne - 32 points.
14. GWS - 33 points.
15. St.Kilda - 35 points.
16. Gold Coast - 36 points.
17. West Coast - 47 points.
18. Richmond - 49 points.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that something like the flu went through west coast.
The betting was sus.
Sydney were $2.40 Saturday night and $1.83 Sunday at 11am.

I did mention durring the week what tigers losing margin was , was told by Vbubs that it won’t happen as the tigers have a big win after a loss

I bet he sleeps with the lights on too

I have an alternate view.

It doesn't matter how many games clear of 2nd that we are.
We want to be clear of 3rd.

AND, most importantly I don't want any interstate team to have an easy ride with home finals.
Let collingwood be clear in 2nd in my opinion.
Yeah, I can see that side to it too. I just think the more teams around us keep losing the more a sign it is of the gap we have on them in quality. FWIW I think Collingwood will finish 2nd. Just wouldn’t mind them being 4-5 games behind us ;)

I'm ambivalent on this. I can see where you're coming from but at the same time the lower Collingwood finish the harder it is for them to make the GF, and since I see them as our biggest threat, I'm keen to make their life as difficult as possible.

In that order. And West Coast are a gap behind the other two at this stage.

That's the order I have them in too, even though GWS beat us.

I just have this feeling that the way the Pies are building will ensure they peak in September, whereas GWS will trail off a bit. It's a shame Beams is out for 3 months instead of the whole year, that would have really helped us.

Tony Barber catempire

How do you rank Collingwood, GWS and West Coast at the moment?
All are sketchy.
If all found form I'd be more worried about west coast, then GWS, then Collingwood.

It's why I don't want the first two to have home ground advantage.

But you know what? Someone has to finish second. We will have to beat 3 opponents.
I just hope their run is as hard as possible.

That free against Howe then would be close to the worst decision of the year.
and the Darcy Moore one was not much better.

Go Catters
