Such an even year whilst I'm yet to be convinced of our flag credentials I'm pretty certain every other team would feel the same, with everyone dropping games they expect to win, putting in scrappy performances
Premiership sides rarely lose three consecutive games in a season.

True but the standard of top sides is so low we can probably forget precedent. Get things together and we're as good a chance as anyone.

This year one more than likely will.

All of the top 4 sides (including us) on current form would be lucky to scrape into the 8 in any 'normal' year. This year a fairly average team will win it as there are none that aren't.

Well 11 sides haven't lost three games in a row, so I'd assume one of those would be likely.

Boy, Fremantle are doing a tremendous job softening Adelaide up for us ahead of next week's game. :drunk:
I would have been glad if the Shockers hadn't so clearly lived up to their name tonight.

However, I'm happy taking on the Crows in whatever shape they turn up in. If that's off a 100-point win, so be it.

We should fancy our chances against them on our home deck, no matter whether they're battle-scarred or cherry ripe.

Adelaide beat up on crap teams at home all year last year and struggled on the road against good teams. Until that changes their form at home doesn't mean much for their chances of winning the flag.
They do have an easy looking draw to set up top 2 this season though. After KP next week you could argue Essendon at Etihad (debatable) and West Coast at Domain are their only tough road trips left. If they played GWS at the G in the GF then the ground wouldn't be a factor. Lots to unfold yet obviously, but they are definitely a contender in a weak year.

I could see them finishing clear on top, beating two sides at AO and being shown up in the GF against a decent midfield unit.
