He's using the marathon as incentive to stay or get trim, a bit like Crawf did for a while with all his post footy endurance events.
Even Crawford now has ballooned out a bit.
On a serious note, would be happy to get the former Falcon back to Geelong as a mid coach.
Fwiw someone I know who occasionally gets good mail reckons that Hodge will be our fwd line coach next year.
Wants to coach, wants to experience somewhere other than Hawthorn

Just come home from shopping in central Geelong. Not many cars driving around with headlights on. Guessing no-one wants Ablett back.
I have to go out soon, and I just always have my lights on when driving... will turn those off today as I want nothing to do with that cringe wortht nonsense :D

RIP Drew Morphett. :'(

One of the best commentators to ever commentate our great game. Apparently passed away in front of the TV last night watching the Hawks-Dogs game.
Very sad. He had an infectious love of the game, called without pretence, ego and one-upmanship - rare qualities missing from nearly all broadcasters today.

Decided to head to the MCG and make a double header of the day. Dees are so hot and cold but will be a very good side in years ahead. All the ingredients.
Their game plan is similar to ours and it remains to be seen whether or not it can stand up to the intensity of finals. Melbourne, like Geelong, overuse the handball.

Just like in junior sport when they bend the rules a bit so the un-co kids don't get penalised for not bouncing the ball before running too far, or if a kid travels or double dribbles in basketball.
You mean like Buddy's natural arc and run as far as you like without bouncing the ball because he has long strides.
