Sorry to intrude - you'll flog Richmond - if you deny them the middle, which you do well, then they're f*cked. Saints aren't covering space. This little gimmick if playing one tall in the forward 50 won't stack up in a final either.

Hope to see you in the GF :)

Pressure is the key mate, put pressure on them and they'll go to water.

Thing is, same applies to us, they put it on our 2nd tier players and they'll go to water.
Their bottom 6 is castagna butler markov broad townsend and graham.

Ours is buzza/stanley (when they play) plus murdoch parsons parfitt kolo and probably someone like stewart/bews (which shows the strength of our side). I would take our bottom 6 over theirs easily.

Their top 4/5 stars can match ours but our middle tier of tuohy henderson taylor scooter guthrie menzel mackie menegola motlop blicavs lonergan smith stewart etc is significantly better of their middle tier of houli edwards astbury ellis mcintosh grigg caddy lambert vlastuin grimes nankervis etc.

If they beat us it will only be because of system and tactics or if we play diabolically badly, on talent we have them well covered.

But I don't understand. I thought Geelong overachieved when they made top 4 and so losing finals was okay because the talent just isn't there to match other sides.

There's four things you need to do to beat Richmond - keep Rance accountable, curb Houli's run off half back, pressure through the midfield and have someone go head-to-head with Martin. He may get it 30 times, but does next to nothing defensively. He averages less than 4 tackles a game. Danger and Duncan get it as much as Dusty, but work more going the other way.

Saints trying to close this game up.

But cant kick the goal at the end.

Tiggers getting some sweaty bum cracks. 3 gettable shots all points to the Saints.

Cmon Saints. At least make the game hard for them

Looking like Tigers at G is a lock. Not expecting to flog them, but we should win. The big question is do we play Taylor forward again? Our defence is tall enough without him considering their forward line is short.

Saints letting chances go begging here, but could be much more in this. If they had a mid capable of breaking games open and their goalkicking tightened up they'd be a team in the 4th through 9th range.

Luv the Ch7 explanation for Cats V Tiggers at MCG - due to the demand for tickets. Hamish McIntosh.

Nothing to do with who earns the right to have the home game for the Final.

The demand for tickets is the reason to move a game.

And now BT says its too small for localised small town thinking.

Nothing to be said for what the team has earned.

******* tossers.

Saints missed 4 gettable goals.

And Saints have been all over Tigers.

They are very gettable - even at their home ground.

GO Catters
They don't respond well to pressure. We're not great in this aspect either but we're considerably more resilient than Richmond have shown themselves to be.

Bomber created a side that could win anywhere. Scott has created KP specialists.
Can you stick to bagging GFC in the GFC threads.

This is actually a NON GFC MATCH AND GENERAL FOOTBALL DICUSSION.

So CS whinging does not belong here.
