Yeah **** the private school boys from good families off I say. Anywhere north of Albury they're playing union and preparing for their second careers in finance, which is fine because at least most people don't have to hear about them.
Christian FlatTracker was at his lazy best tonight. God he must be beyond frustrating to have in your team.
Amazingly the commentators still get excited whenever he goes near the ball.

Loved in the first qtr Gus Brayshaw gets the ball and a commentator says 'you know he will hit a target' or something along those lines. Kids going at around 60%. Far from guaranteed to hit a target.

A huge mistake trading out Hogan.

Also trading pick 2 (Kelly) for Salem and a bag of chips

Hogan and Kelly would transform the Dees
Agreed on Hogan.

I can see why Melbourne did the other trade - the "bag of chips" was a pick 3 with two years development, so you're looking at pick 3 and 9 for pick 2 and something in the late teens (plus other stuff) which seems quite reasonable... until you insert what we know about each player now. It's really a hindsight trade failure.

Yeah, had they have drafted Cripps who went four picks later, it would be a genius move. That’s the difference between strategy and execution.

Melbourne lucky to lose by what they did. Could have been 100. Would imagine it would be a pretty frustrating time being a Dees supporter. You would have started year thinking you are genuine flag chance, now you are 1-5. What has happened to them?

How much longer before coach is in trouble?

I'm really not sure why the focus on Private School kids.

Stack was genuinely in discussion as the most talented kid in WA last year, but "rumours" came out pretty early that he had some serious off field issues going on.

I can't tell you what the off field issues were because I don't know.

I do know there was a lot of discussion from the WA draft watchers just before the draft that neither WA team was going to draft him because of what ever Stack had going on.

He was bypassed in the National Draft and Rookie draft. Obviously what ever was going on in his personal life was enough to scare every team off.

My guess is that Richmond brought him in because they lost their midfield depth during the trade period.

And so the story of Stack living with the coach now gets told.

Obviously had to get out of WA to succeed. Great pick up by Richmond, and I hope the kid does well on and off the field.
