All the hype of Freo making a big jump this year is misguided I think. The way they have played this last quarter tactically has been awful. Bombing it long from kickouts to outnumbered contests over and over again.

Is it a leadership problem with Freo? I'm out on their coach but that list is close to primed. Jackson through middle should be real point of difference and Serong gets huge wraps but they seem to be lacking something, or someone, to drag them to win these big games.

Inexplicably poor game wise and skill wise in that last quarter.

I suppose it's only the first game.

Longmuir's out if they don't contend this year

We started this tactic from the first quarter.

I hope the push to cancel the northers states opening round succeeds

It was always a marketing exercise anyhow, nothing to do with growing the game in the northern states.

The academies are helping to grow the game talent wise in the northern states, but the AFL seem to want to stifle that.

Watching this one closely

Hope Josh Carr has Port playing a similar style to what he had North Adelaide playing when they won the SANFL; they were a breath of fresh air.

They have a list capable of 3-8. They shouldn’t be worse than 8.

Yes they have gaps. But their coach, Snoremuir is no good.

Clarko the mad genius lowering expectations to less than 0 in the preseason and lulling Port into a false sense of security

Nick Larkey is a bloody good player, would be even better in a good side, I wonder if we ever seriously enquired about him when we were scouting around and ended up with The OA.
