Anyone who missed Clarko's presser I have the transcript.

"Ummm"

That's a direct quote.

4 for Hodge or the games a joke.
Could have broke his neck and it was intentional with malice.

Some people already say the Game is a Joke - Not Me

I agree with this. Didn't think much at the time. Haven't minded Hodge prior to this but now I see what people are talking about.
Honestly could have been a serious head/neck injury.

And yeah, if people are going to praise the awesome awareness of footy players, then when something like this happens they need to recognise its seriousness.

Honestly, how many times do commentators say something akin to "just the awareness of him..."?

Hodge is a seasoned campaigner.

He knew what he was doing.

Lucky the guy got up.

Karma the guy got up and kicked another three.

Hodge has been an amazing footballer, a fantastic captain, an outstanding onfield general and all that. But he is capable of these acts during a game and he should be called for it. He was aiming to hurt Wingard. We are seeing more of this crap from the Hawks as the cracks are showing in their game. They are rightfully still flag contenders, but when things are not going their way during a game, watch out.

They tend to have a nasty streak to the way they go about it.

Could that be his 'Leigh Matthews moment'?

Hodge is dirty, always has been with his cheap shots.

Thing about hodge that i hav observed is, whenever he does these kind of things or tries to intimidate, when the opposition stands up to him he backs down almost immediately and trys to laugh it off. Basically if he cant hit u when u are unaware, he wont.

Hodge has had a prior suspension this year too. He'll be lucky not to miss a final after that hit.

I found it quite funny, with how frustrated Mitchelll and Hodge became during the game. It was reminiscent of the Brisbane Lions in 2004/2005. Knew they just couldn't do anyone, once they once did with ease.

Hawthorn still a huge chance this year but I've never seen these types of cracks get exposed in as many games as they have had this year.

Well it did involve a goal post. Leigh's was a point post. Always felt sorry for that post.

Ah yes, that was another memory ... The point post at Windy Hill IIRC?

I was referring to this incident ...

... that tainted and practically ended his career.

Yep. There not the team there where the last 2 years

Of course, you are correct, many have never forgotten or forgiven Leigh for that.

I've never really understood how some players are described as tough, when they mainly hit behind the ball, or worse when the affected player doesn't see it coming and has no ability to defend himself. That's just plain thuggery. Real toughness is what Darren Millane displayed, playing the 1990 final series with a broken thumb.

Hawks repeatedly sucked up to the ball in defense which is usually what I am shaking my head about watching Pies games. Quite a few of the defensive efforts from their back six were pretty poor as well.

Hodge is a dog, we already knew that, will still play finals. Rubbed out in a prelim would be delicious though.

I think he's talking about Matthews knocking out Bruns behind play and being suspended and charge by Police and fined.

The American guy has one serious leap. When he learns to properly direct his tap to advantage he could be one seriously good players

I actually get depressed watching other "young" teams like st kilda play compared to how we play
