As long as St Kilda don't upset West Coast I so hope Carlton win the spoon. It would be gold and mean:

* in just 14 years (since 2002) they've gone from no spoons to double our tally.
* better yet in those 14 years we've played in 5 grand finals. We may only have won 1 flag, but it's better than winning 4 spoons.

Since 1988 they'd now have the most spoons:
4 - Carlton (2002, 2005, 2006, 2015)
3 - Brisbane (1990, 1991, 1998), Melbourne (1997, 2008, 2009), Richmond (1989, 2004, 2007), St Kilda (1988, 2000, 2014), Sydney (1992 to 1994)
2 - Fitzroy (1995, 1996), GWS (2012, 2013),
1 - Collingwood (1999), Fremantle (2001), Gold Coast (2011), West Coast (2010), Western Bulldogs (2003)

Would that mean the most ever afl spoons (i.e. not counting vfl years)?

Good results for Pies with cats and Port winning and hopefully GWS do the business against the Dees.
Lower the better.

Just looking ahead a bit.

Yep, the AFL name came into force in 1990 although it could be argued the beginning was the entry of West Coast and Brisbane in 1987. If you count it from 1987 another spoon needs to be added to Richmond's tally taking them level with Carlton. Anything before that and St Kilda smashes everyone out of the water.

He's full of shit too, he says he had 3-4 drinks but 1 drink equals .1 alcohol reading so he had at least 7.

Just as an aside, 1 pot is more than 1 standard drink. He could easily have had 4 pots and blown .068, which is a low level reading.

Would we suspend Pendles or Cloke for a final, not on your life.

Yeah he was on the front page of the HS drinking pints, technically he still had 6 to 8 standard drinks though.

More because he said he stopped drinking at 10.40 and got pulled over at 1.20 so there is time for 3 or 4 of those drinks to exit his system.

Don't think it's an exact science like that. Different body types, what you've eaten, all adds to it. 3 or 4 drinks don't exit your system that quick.
The bloke had a few beers, he'll pay the penalty according to the law and lead the Hawks out next week as he should.

For the average person 1 standard drink is .1 BAC which takes approximately 1 hour to exit the system. That's what they teach at the drink driving class.

If 5 blokes drank the exact amount of beer they'd all blow a different reading, it would exit their systems at different rates, it's just a ball park figure they use, doesn't mean Hodge lied when he said he had 4 drinks (A pint is way over one standard drink).
If he played for the Pies we'd demand he play in the first final, simple as that.
I just don't get why people want him punished by missing a final.

Pretty simple, I don't want Hawthorn to make this years Grand Final, we must stop them by any means necessary! :D
