We just got beaten by Liverpool 3-0 despite having some good chances especially early on. Not to mention we saw even more damning evidence of pathetic refereeing double standards... Steve Watson gets booked for the exact same thing Steven Gerrard got away with

Our downfall is clearly the lack of a real ball-playing midfielder. Until we can sort that, I'm afraid we're going to do no better than last season.

YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roonaldo my arse - Michael is still the man on Merseyside!

About time we put the Toffees back in their rightful place.

Much better performance by the Reds. Owen was excellent, Baros created the 2nd goal.

Diouf was man of the match for mine, created havoc. One of the best games I've seen him play. Back 4 was reasonable, Dudek was inspired. Heskey managed to stuff up Owen's hat-trick when he came on.

That footage of the Blue fans streaming towards the exits was wonderful to watch.

Well done Liverpool, more of the same please!

Some of the selfish play in the last 15-20 minutes was very disturbing

You should play the whole game like its 0-0

We could have had 2-3 more goals if players had passed the ball instead of going for glory.

As a coach, these sorts of things upset me.

A relief to get a win though. Blackburn next up in what will be a big test for us.

Dudek has had a great season so far.

Will be a great match. Babbel was MOM agaisnt Chelsea in my opinion and he and Amoruso form a formidable duo. New signings Barry Ferguson and Dino Baggio should be ready to slot into the squad, while injured Dwight Yorke and Brett Emerton will be back in the lineup.

Looking forward to it.

I'd put a few dollars on Babbel scoring against us on the weekend. Don't know why we let him go out on loan, its not as if we are loaded with central defenders. Biscan was good against the Toffees but well...he's Biscan. Traore isn't much better either.

Haven't see the match, but it is about time some players other than Owen took on the responsbility of scoring.

Reading the forums, Diouf supoosedly had a good game.

I would be very surprised if he didn't get 5 votes from Stam.;)
