I like the "Special cousins from the West" thread you've got going on at the moment.
That thread has bite us in the ass for a while now, though Maddam is a pretty damn funny poster.

On that criterion, North are more important to you than your family, friends, job, home and money.

Mate, it's the North board. I don't go on the Bulldogs board and talk about North, I do it on the Bay.

The one place where you can all be as delusional as one another and out-do each other with expectations and overratings, and you chose to talk about WB and Essendon instead.

You probably don't realise just how many threads there are on the North board. I just looked it up and it's over 47,000. Now, I expect you can do percentage calculations, so get back to me on what 2 / 47,000 is - perhaps after you've done a little bit of revision on the concept of statistical significance.

Maybe even contrast it to the percentage you get when you do {gogriff threads about North / total gogriff threads}. Statistically significant, no?

Considering they're both on the first page - can you fill us in on what percentage that entails?

Well, I'll let you do the numbers, but even more to the point, explain why that is relevant to the percentages.

PS - the Footscray thread is so irrelevant (like the club) that it's already on it's way off the first page. Won't be there after today.

The Essendon thread has over 17,000 posts. That's more than 1% of the total posts in the history of the North Melbourne board. It's the biggest thread on the first page at the moment. And guess what's second? The Non North thread, at another 12,000. Over 2% of the total posts on your board since inception in those 2 threads alone.

Typical griffo deflection.

Ok, for clarity: what percentage do you get when you do {gogriff threads about North / total gogriff threads}. I am saying it will be statistically significant.

You will, of course, not respond to that and start on some tangent thinking people haven't seen through you. Unfortunately for you, your obsession can easily be quantified, no matter how much you try to pretend otherwise.

Most of my threads are about North, I'm not deflecting anything.

I just don't see how me posting about another club on the Bay means North don't have a rivalry with WB or Essendon.

You're assuming that the two on the first page are it. No more.

How do we know there aren't two on every page?

So, **** knuckle, it affects the percentages pretty bloody significantly.

Oh Cam, really? That's perhaps the stupidest question ever posed on BF. Your anger and jealousy seem to be reducing you to an imbecile. Or maybe that's your normal state?

The short answer is: you look on the other pages.

I realise I've skipped some detail with that response (though it would be sufficient for most). So, pitching the answer to the level of the question, here's a step-by-step guide as so how you can know there aren't two similar posts on every page of the North board:

1. Look on page 2
2. Look on page 3
3. Look on page 4
4. Look on page 5
5. Look on page 6
6. Look on page 7
7. Look on page 8
8. Look on page 9
9. Look on page 10
10. Look on page 11
11. Look on page 12
12. Look on page 13
13. ...

This is going to be a long post if I go through the remaining steps. I hope (but am not confident) that the above gives you sufficient indication of the manner in which you would be able to solve your conundrum.

You're welcome. :thumbsu:

I've gone through the first few and found some more - 4 Western Bulldogs and 3 Essendon threads in the first 5 pages.

I don't have an issue with that LtK, you can talk about whoever you like. The point is you said you have no rivalry with either Essendon or WB. I don't know why you're going to such lengths to deny that, are you trying to make out like it's a one way rivalry because we're jealous or something? It's OK to have rivals mate.

I always had you pegged as someone who will lie to make a point, in the hope that no-one will check up. This is a perfect case in point - there are no WB or Essendon threads on the next 5 pages. The only one remotely close is the one discussing - from a North viewpont - the ramifications of the Boyd-Griffin trade.

Pathetic, as usual.

If you're trying to get me to link to your board, it ain't happening. These are the titles, don't call me a liar.

Ramifications of the Boyd-Griffen trade
Whitten Oval has a cafe
Our special little cousins in the west
North might be done in Ballarat

Sympathy for Essendon
Get Bomber Thompson
Warning trading with Bombers

Sympathy for Essendon On first page

There you go, you lying piece of shit.

You fool, the point being made is that North supporters generally DO perceive a rivalry with *, but not with WB.

We've been at each others throats since Barry Hall strangled Scott Thompson's. But whatever, if you're going to call me a lying piece of shit I'm over it.
