I run the official and unofficial north sites and cant tell you much about him, he didnt play league (I think) and other juniors have been a lot more prominent, I dont remember putting him in the best players that often in junior games.

I was there literally 1 minute ago... nobody seems to know a thing! Matthew Davis is turning into the biggest smoky in draft history it seems...

Apparently there's also a Michael Davis playing SANFL juniors this year... I hope the club didn't get mixed up and picked the wrong one!

Michael Davis is a gun midfielder for South in the seniors.

I think he was with Essendon at one stage.

The one thing we Swans fans want to know is whether Davis would be a worthwhile addition to our squad in the long term? I'm thinking long-term even if I believe the Swans are capable of winning a flag over the next few years.

Dug up this info on him for you:

He is a young country U17 player who injured his ankle in his 3rd game with us early this year against Sturt. We played him as a CHF. Don't think he played again after that at North but he played in the A's at Jamestown as a mid fielder. Was not going to enter the draft but I believe Sydney spoke with him on the basis of it being a long shot with no promises. Totally out of left field. Am not sure if he would even get a game with our League at
present but he is a really nice lad with much potential. Just finished Year 12.

Pretty good coach @ Jamestown now, hence the North connection? I didn't think they were in your country zone.
