Re: North Central Football League
Close to the club Mike? Sounds like you know something, what exactly are the "rules" you speak of? I also heard some officials of the club have been absoulute a holes to the kids you mentioned. Whats wrong with doing the crime then doing the time and moving on, your thoughts?
With what Mike said earlier, 2 were probably caught at the wrong place wrong time, as far as harsh punishments go, however the other two, are part of the named senior group, who just 1-2 weeks before, were appointed this role, and told to set an example for the rest of the group... didn't take em long to screw that up did it..and they were punished...end of story
MOR, i see the 1's got smashed again mate, hows does Ezard get beat every week and still get in the best? If you senior side concedes 20+ goals three weeks in a row you have serious issues my friend. If you get beat by Wyche this week you are Gee oh enn eee, GONE. I see the 2's drew, you must be rapt MOR 2 points on the board for the senior group, can they win next week, i might start following them, who coaches? who are their guns? any to comeback in? i might get on their bandwagin, all aboard!
I suppose you are going to look at the "selected sides" and presume holmes got another 6 kicked on him too?
Try showing up to a game, and see how it pans out, instead of looking at the scores on paper and trying to decode how a side plays.
Maybe take the positives...
Needs 6 Straight, and in some form
The last half of the game was contended with Holmes sitting on the pine after damaging his foot
Hyndman/Walsh both were late withdrawals
Solyom didn't play
Drum Didn't play
Hando straining the Strings in the last half and spending most his time in the goal square
Young Jesse Douglas (who has never played as a ruck in a senior comp) rucking all day, against Thompson and Roo, giving away a massive height and weight difference
All this, and the difference was still only 6 goals at 3 qtr time
My point: Watch a game before you start jumping to conclusions
As for the Reserves, St Arnaud and Charlton always put on a good match, irrelevant to the Positions on the ladder. Both prefer a fast, flowing game, and thats what (for the most part) we saw
Their coach is Shane Ciurleo
Guys to come back in: Jason Lloyd (eventually) Chris Medlyn, theres probably more i can't think of at the moment, as well as 3-4 to come back from the 1's when these injuries get sorted out
"Can they win next week"
Seniors: Yes... Keeping major goal kickers down has been our problem, and Wyche doesn't seem to have one at the moment, and rely heavily on their midfield to kick goals.
Reserves: Yes... Who knows what either of the sides can do on the day. Wyche did thump Boort, however from what ive heard, the Boort 2's side has taken quite a step back over the off season
