Re: North Central Football League

lol... Atkinson was a damn good tap ruckman...his problems (IMO) is Mobility, and the fact that he rarely took a grab...he would prefer to punch the ball, even when he was infront

Given that, Drum would probably suit us moreso, but the problem here is that he went down Vs the Burn with PCL damage... should be right within a couple

Heard a story the other day about a bloke pushing 40 got best on ground playing on atkinson....further more the bloke pushing 40 showed up for his first training the thursday before the game....

I agree with 3 of ur observations Bakers_patrons. You are right Craig Rutley is still an absolute gun and an asset to the BFC. Are you serious in thinking that wyche may have been equal with or infront off Boort at half time, thats a pretty crap observation when you see that Boort were 6 goals ahead of Wyche at half time, where wyche had only kicked 1 goal. I think if wyche get a good forward they will be a respectable side.

mate, i was refferring to possession wyche had 70% and also numerous missed scoring shots in the first half i think it was 1.7 to 6.3 so one more scoring shot than wyche.

Bakers, you seem to know a bit about Wyche - Did Tinkler play on the weekend? Heard he missed the game! Handy addition to the side against the Saints I'd say

Re: North Central Football League

Reid is an absolute gun, he didnt show anything when Boort played Donald. I think this was due to it being his first game in the black n white, give him a game or 2 to settle in. But he has shown in the last 2 games that he is an absolute ball magnet and can use it. Also he is very tough on the football.

D Batram is also a gun midfeilder and he will be vital if the pies are gunna have another good yr.

Perryman is also looking very good in the forward line. Il put him down to kick 50+ goals this yr.
What about Ferrier? All the Boort people talked him up on here, hasn't been in the best yet as he?

What did I tell you all - Overrated player!! Just shows how much NCFL is above some of those minor leagues kicking around.

Re: North Central Football League

i'd say you will beat wychyPoo by 10 goals..
You blokes who pumped rick allen up to be the clubs saviour have got to be joking..very overrated..trys to do way to much, and didnt man up all day..may have been good a few years ago when the side was strong but will struggle to dominate without good players around him!! Josh White is wychys only player..great mark!!

who said rick was their saviour????? i would have had the other allan, george i think, as a better player, may not get it as much an may not be as flash as rick but very rarely does he miss use the footy, rick is still a handy pick up for the dees tho, he is also still 19 got a lot of time to grow into a gun onballer

Re: North Central Football League

Ability no :(

Im not sure to be honest, haven't seen Wyche play, so can't particularly Judge where they are at. From what i have heard, however, they came out really well in the first against Boort, and their 0.5 should have probably been atleast 3.2 (came from an impartial "spectator" at the game.) If its wet, Wyche always seem to put up a fight, whether or not the scoreboard reflects it
Can you give me an update if Jason Lloyd is playing? I seen a Grand final (Reserves) about 2003 where he won it off his own boot.

Probably will...unsure to be honest, has been helping out Ciurleo on the day as an Asst Coach (as such) but will no doubt pull on the boots at some point of time

What? Self appointed assistent coach of the two's. The way St Arnaud are travelling you would think he would be more value on the ground. But has been known to take the easy option on occasions. Is Anthony Rhoden playing for St A?

Obviously you are taking things as literal as they are put... so i will leave you to contemplate your thoughts on your own...

but ofcourse he is more value on the field..

No Rhodes isn't playing, he would prefer to be Spending endless amounts of dosch on Grog n Ponies than do any sort of physical activity :D (Hit a nerve?)

Re: North Central Football League

Couple of good games on the weekend. I think anyone could win each game.
I'm tipping Wedderburn, Birchip and St Arnaud though.
What are people's thoughts?

Burn/Charl - I dont know about this one, MotR for sure...If its a flowing game, Charlton will be hard to beat... Tim Hill is also a good chance to stop Stenhouse. Charlton for me...they have Too many passages to goal for Wedderburn to handle.

Birchip/Boort - Birchip.... For Boort to win, they dont just have to stop Ryan, theres Scambler, Tyler, Colville, Noonan, Lee......................

Wyche/St Arnaud - St Arnaud... Wyche need a target up forward to do any real damage to anyone, they simply haven't got the guys running forward from the Midfield like charlton do, to apply that gameplan effectively

He will be a gun aswell, just give him a few games to settle in and he will be among the leagues best. He uses the football great and can read it off the pack. So keep ur mouth shut, ecspecially when u no nothing on the subject.

Charlton 2 goals
Boort 6 goals
starnaud 10 goals
Weddurburn vs Charlton: 2 goals
Birchip vs Boort: 4 goals
Wyche vs St Arnaud: 10 goals

Well theres my tips, i think Charlton will be far to quick with there youth for Weddurburn and Boort to just get up over Birchip in a very good game of football. St Arnaud will be just to strong for Wychee, it would be good to see Wychee win a game but i think there just not upto it.

Ok then, if I've got no idea we'll wait and see with your tips. Wedderburn to beat Charlton, Birchip to give Boort a serious touch up (and hopefully bring them back to earth), Wyche/Saints - very hard to pick, maybe the Dees by a couple, not many!

Re: North Central Football League

This week I predict Charlton, Birchip and St Arnaud to be winners.

Does anyone know the program for the Interleague? Is it just one match played against Sunraysia? It's at Birchip isn't it?
