Re: North Central Football League

if St. Arnaud don't get up over wychie this weeknd, there in trouble!
Arent they in trouble already? Biggest population in the league and have the advantage of a sporting club with pokies bringing in added revenue and still havent been competitive for 3 years. If they win on Saturday, finals still a long way off.

just because they have the biggest population doesn't mean they have talent!

The St Arnaud Sporting Club is an individual Business located at Lord Nelson Park! Thats about it

They are our major sponsor in much the same way as (for example) Harbergers are for Donald

Wycheproof would be the smallest town in the NCFL, yet they are historically one of the Top sides in the state!

Not too sure about this holy_grail. I dont know what you consider youthful, but Wedderburn only have one player over 30 and about 16 under 22/23.
Hey yer i am more talking about the quality of the youth they have for e.g. finlay who is cabable of kicking a bag and quickly changing the flow off the game. Also Hill, which will be a very good match up with Stenhouse if that is where he is playin. There no all exactly young players more quick athletic players like the Walklate brothers.

Hey on that note has anyone heard if Ben Walklate will be playing on saturday

Fair call then. I still rate some of Wedderburn's younger guys though. Who do you play with?

No its not ROC.. the sporting club is tax free because it has to split up its profits too all the sporting clubs in the town!!! they just built it there because the majority of the sport is played at lord nelson park!!

I thought the whisper was that Lloyd was heading to huntly this year? Is he still playing at St.Arnaud? Lucky he didint go to Huntly could have done alot of damage on the footy field and on the saturday night.

Huntly could use somebody such as Jason Lloyd sharking the pack's in the forward 50 metre arc and kicking his 4 goals a game. I don't know what he is like off the footy ground, but the boy is very talented on it and would be handy in any side.

I watched Scott play for the saints he is real good, but havent seen Jason? Is Jason older? If so he better start to live up to excpectations on the footy ground and start producing for the saints in the seniors. If he is that good he is wasting his time in the two's? Is he playing at all haven't seen his name in the best?

Archibald. They tell me they tried to get him back last year. A good honest performer and plays for no cash $$$$$. St.Arnaud might need to be looking at blokes like that to get the club back up.:thumbsu:

Yeah, he started off pre-season really well, then injured his neck pretty badly just before the season.. pretty much lost all his pre-season...starting over again.
