Potential nuclear holocaust at play today but lead story Herald Sun website is delays on the Frankston Line.
Is this world crisis real?
The crisis is real, it's the Feral Sun that's not.
I take the Oz, but only for the sports, and x word.
If a nuclear war eventuates on the peninsula there is unfortunately nothing we can do, has never been anything outside those incredibly small few in power, can do. We just have to hope those small few do not want to govern over a post-apocalyptic planet.
Whilst I appreciate the seriousness of NK's actions, I just wonder, knowing that NK is aware striking a foreign territory is suicide, how much attention the greater public must be expected to pay it? And how much that attention just feeds into this crisis?
It's likely that North Korea will continue these provocations indefinitely, does that mean world news outlets need to paralyse their public with fear each time? (the answer is yes, but it is not really logical). I think we should all pay more attention to local issues we can affect rather than international ones we can't. Local problems are real and the threat of NK/USA war is largely imagined because of its potentially catastrophic outcome - but if the past is a measure is statistically unlikely, even with two nutters at the helm. They are self-preservating nutters after all.
