Not if his son goes on to be an awesome father/son pick up for the Hawks. Sure, he sired the kid, but who taught him to kick? That's right, TT! Just another way NMFC gets shafted.

The thought did cross my mind, as young Hodge fresh aired an attempted kick back to me, "I guess even the best footballers had to start somewhere."

Brady Rawlings isn't involved in coaching anymore. He's the list manager at the Eagles, that's were he sees his future.

Ok thanks. Guess my suggestion has no chance then. Be good if he came back in some capacity maybe, top bloke is Brady.

Interested in the thinking behind this one TPA.

Regardless of Johnson's perceived rep around the AFL, the man has an almost peerless career as a midsized forward.

He's kicked over 500 goals and is one of only 56~ people to do that, ever

He's played in multiple premierships and has proven big game experience

He was thought of highly enough by GWS that they poached him to come up and has arguably played a hand in turning Toby Greene into a smaller version of himself and probably the best mid-sized forward in the competition

By all reports he's a pretty good influence on a very young side and has contributed strongly to keeping them in the hunt for their first flag just 5 years after their inception

If Jy, Wags, Garns, Wood, Turner etc etc had five years of specialist coaching from Johnson I fail to see how that's a bad thing. At all

He was Norm Smith Medalist in the 2007 GF and it was obvious from quarter time, pretty much won the game himself imo. 10 years later he's basically assistant coaching one of the most successful teams in the league from their half forward line.

I think he'd have alot to offer any footy side in terms of experience and footy smarts.

Iam happy for steevie to come aboard as long as he aint a snake oil salesman like that lingy flog with his leading teams snake oil.
Can tell you first hand leading teams works if the people involved embrace it.
If he's tried to bring leading teams into the club and it hasn't worked for us, that's because the players haven't taken it seriously enough.
