Cool, let's see if you're still in Victoria in 15 years, watch for your club to play more and more in Tassie over the next decade. The writing is on the wall.
As calls for a Tassie team get louder, so will the calls for a relocation of a Vic side.

We have been around since 1859, you know, so what's another 15?

Anyway, you're late to this particular party. We've been hearing this Tassie stuff for years. In the meantime, we have grown stronger off field and re-established our Arden St base.

As for on field, well surely a Richmond supporter can relate to the occasional down year or two. Or 35. You want it to hurt us, but it won't. You and all your doomsayer mates in this thread are going to continue to be disappointed.

FWIW, it's not just North who could relocate.
The other two candidates are the Saints and Dogs, but I believe that's less likely given North are actively trying to build their foothold in Tassie already.

You wish.

BTW, "less" is another relative term. You seem to struggle with them.

It certainly doesn't mean "not" commercially viable. If you want proof, feel free to read our financial statements. You might have had a point a few years ago, but not any more.
So then how how do North's financial statements compare, RELATIVE to Richmond's financial statements released today?

Is this reality relative?

Another wanky post. Of course, Richmond are financially stronger. I don't need to read financial statements to conclude that.

But so what? Are you just getting off swinging your dick around?

If you've got it - flaunt it ;)

Just making a valid point - relative to your post methinks...

The concern is that while north may be able to keep their head above water and even be profitable, the gap between them and the top half of the Comp continues to grow. How long will larger clubs accept that they can't spend and develop to their full potential because of equalisation measures put in place to ensure north don't get left too far behind.

At some point the advantages of reissuing or relocating that licence will outweigh the negatives that disenfranchising a small Melbourne based supporter group will bring.

No, you weren't making a valid point, it was a childish attempt at being clever around the word relative. You posted the football equivalent of "it's warmer in summer than in winter".

The telling (and sad) part of the post is that you felt the need to capitalise the word, just to be sure everyone could see how clever you were. Embarrassing.

The real concern would be if the AFL Commission were stupid enough to follow this line of thinking.

Were it to happen, the cost to the larger clubs of eliminating a traditional club would be to bring in a new plastic franchise like GC or GWS. You obviously don't care about it destroying the fabric of the game, but you'd soon start crying about how much more the big clubs are paying to prop up the plastic.

"Call" to your hearts content. It won't matter to us. We're the only ones that can relocate the club, so it won't EVER happen.

Perhaps Richmond fans will support a relocation of their club?

After all, they abandoned their club completely in it's hour of need back in 1990.

Yes, it was a valid point - you just don't like it because you were called out on it.

No embarrassment here mate.

Exactly how did the supporters abandoned the club completely in it's hour of need back in 1990? They rallied on mass, dug deep and turned the fortunes around, plus i'm not sure what events 27 years ago have to do with the current situation.

It wasn't enough. The RFC was saved by a last minute injection of cash from their share of the Adelaide Crows licence fee. The supporters fell short.

Just pointed out some historical and constitutional facts to one of your more ignorant types. It has more relevance than relocating North to Tasmania. It can and did actually happen.

If one of your lesser types throws garbage around, do you expect no response? If you don't like my post, then take it up with them.

What a load of rubbish. The Tiges were never going to fold and senior execs from the ANZ at the time publicly said that. Your Richmond trolling gets more hilarious by the day

Tassie would hardly be a plastic franchise.

Emotion aside, It would have a stronger justification than north Melbourne for representation in a national comp.

"Schwab is not sure to this day if the ANZ would have foreclosed. ''It wouldn't have been great marketing for them to pull the pin on an AFL club,'' he said. ''But they were seriously concerned.'' - Cameron Schwab

"Only committeeman Garry Krauss's $400,000 loan kept the club afloat." - Greg Baum

''We decided to say exactly how it was,'.....'We put the club on death row.'' - Cameron Schwab

''This had a finality about it, The Tigers were going to go out of business.'' - Kevin Bartlett.

The Adelaide/Richmond time line

1990 Sep – The SANFL formally applies to join the AFL.
1990 Sep 19 – Adelaide is officially accepted by the AFL Board
1990 Oct – Adelaide Football Club sub licence is formally signed, the fee is paid and Adelaide enters the newly formed AFL.
1990 Oct 31 - Neville Crowe announces that the RFC has avoided extinction.

I stand by my statement.

If the AFL wants it, it will happen.
North Melbourne are not a big enough club to play ball with the AFL, all the AFL need to do is choose to not prop up North in 10 years, and they will have to do what the AFL wants.

Does your club constitution cover the club folding?

Well time to humour you.

The Adelaide/Richmond Time line "facts" are quoted from which source? Or did you just type them up
When in October 1990 was the fee paid?
How much was Adelaides sub licence?
What amount did Adelaide pay directly to Richmond?
How much of the sub licence was paid directly to the clubs or was it via the AFL?
How much was distributed to all clubs and when was it paid?
Did north receive the same amount at the same time?

If you stand by your "statement" answer the above. Doubtful you will.
Just another deflection from you of course and a regurgitation of your usual lies.

I've asked Snake_Baker the same questions prior to his latest regurgitation. No surprises he can't answer.
Good of him to drop by. Drop a handful of bullshit and flee. Or deflect

Yeah, nice hypocrisy. It's only a couple of pages back where I called your bullshit and you responded by deflecting.
