Simple question - should they get one?
Since 2012 the AFL have some 'discretionary formula' for handing out PPs consisting of wins in previous seasons, on-field prospects, list age, astrology charts and a rough measure of just how much Darcy "likes the way the list goes about it".

They might snag a win or two from here but they are a firmly developing side who would have certainly qualified for some form of assistance under the old formula. They are also 'carrying the can' in less desirable timeslots so some would argue deserve some from of goodwill on that measure as well.

Should they get a priority pick and if so, which pick(s)?

If NMFC win < 3 games, then yeah it's hard to justify not getting one.

When you add into the mix the fact we lost our senior coach less than 12 months into his stint due to mental health issues, it's not a hard sell for most rational neutrals one would assume.

You can have two state league players like the Blues got after 2 wins.

So you can engineer sh*t football by off loading half the team and then claim a Priority Pick? Come back in 5 years and we'll reassess!!
Not sure Geelong fans should be talking about playing s**t football...

North stripped quite a lot of experience and quality from their side the last year or two. The downward turn was inevitable and mostly their own doing.

With a new coach and a bunch of new kids, 2021 was always going to be a tough one. Give them a chance to gel, if they’re in the same situation next year then absolutely start considering it.

The difference between 3rd and 17th isn't that much

but 3rd to 18th and a giant leap for mankind

I'm pro priority pick and it should be measured after round 10.......not after round 23 to avoid tanking
