Good now let’s see what excuse they come up with

GC got an over the top concession package when they had 8 wins over 2years
We’ve had 7 wins over 2 years and I’d assume we’d be expecting just 1 pick

The excuse that North won 4 matches this year should be enough. North are not a good side, but if you lined up the wooden spooners of the last 10 years and had them all play in a competition together I think North would come out near the top.

If Carlton didn’t get one after going 2-20 @ 59% then I doubt North get one.

You aren’t an AFL baby. Back of the queue.

We’ve also never had a priority pick unlike you guys which helps our case

Clubs getting the odd one is fair enough but once you’ve had one it just becomes redundant and should be harder to get another

We got that PP under a different and set criteria.

You’d like to think each case is judged on its own merit and not determined by things that happened over a decade prior.

2020 was a 17 game season where you didn’t win the spoon and finished with 70%.

A PP for North would be unnecessary. Most of them are.

Since when has the spoon ever been a requirement for a PP?

Most recent ones have been awarded when they weren’t spoon winners also.

Carlton didn’t get one because they professionally rotted the system along with Melbourne and Richmond.

You were blacklisted.

Probably not how it works.

But your already had your share of Priority picks and 1st draft picks overall.

Under an old system with set criteria. The system has changed. North wouldn’t have even qualified for an end of first round PP under the old system.

Having the first overall pick is irrelevant and a part of equalisation. Your club would’ve been dead 15 years ago if we didn’t have it.

You might want to check that.

North would have received an end of R1 PP last year under the old system...

Man I really hope get don't get one. I dislike PPs as a whole and would feel dirty being 'awarded' one. Just let us grow and develop our list the old fashioned way!!

Its hard not to be amused watching North fans oscillate between pumping up their youth and their improvement in the second half of the year and then pleading their case for a priority pick. Its pretty amusing stuff.

Clearly there's no need for a priority pick. They just want a cheapo leg up on the rest of the comp to fast track their rebuild.

The system is in place and we want to take advantage of it

we’ve never had one and never been in this position and now that we are here we want to benefit like others have before us including the suns most recently who had a similar record over 2 years but were given pick 2, pick 11, pick 19 and extra list spots

we clearly don’t expect all that but one pick is what I’d expect

Add in Melbourne 2013 who were plenty worse than most of those spooners

Yep, Brisbane received a PP in 2016 finishing 17th and slotting in at 5th on that table.

Brisbane were a lot crapper for a lot longer. North finished 12th in the 2019 season and North has not had a mass exodus of players like Brisbane had either.
The year before that we were 1 win away from the spoon

3 bottom 4 finishes in the last 4 years
7 wins over the last 2 years

if those numbers don’t get you a priority pick no one ever will

Ffs, don’t really want one.
lol let's not pretend you don't want one.

Of course you do, a free 1st round or 2nd round pick?.. who would say no.

The point is your team (or any other) shouldn't get one.
