HM: Travy Colyer. Love this bloke, most improved by the length of the Flemington straight.

I feel like I can only really do this based on 3 quarters of footy, however;

5. Heppell: fractured hand and still kept finding his own ball and setting up play, even with Ryder sub-par.
4. Baguley: felt like he was our most effective defender tonight. Best small defender we've had for yonkeys... since McVeigh?
3. Daniher: breakout game leading up to a BREAKOUT GAME which will probably be next year, right? Consistent in his efforts for four quarters. Gets on his bike when the ball comes in... needs an equal complement. Cameron? Do we get a decent first round draft pick this year?
2. Chapman: this seemed to be the game Chappy had been waiting for all year. His burst out of the centre to deliver to Daniher had me believing with 3 or 2 minutes to play. Now that I think about it, I don't even know if he was in the middle at that point. His mentoring capacity now, given the experience of tonight for Glee, Zerrett, Daniher etc will be gold.
1. Goddard: last couple of weeks he has willed himself back to form, and to find it tonight, with the loss, will have made him hungry. Hopefully angry as well.

HM: Colyer: best 22 and the small forward who last off-season we were crying out for. Has arrived and now needs a massive pre-season.
Myers: first two quarters was the hardest at the ball I think I've seen him. He needs to watch the tape and demand from himself next season. There are more...
Hurley should be here somewhere. I really proud right now. Bring on 2015. GO YOU DONS!

FWIW.. I think finals should be worth double points in the MVP.. because they are the most important games of all.

5. Hurley (if only we had 2-3 of this bloke.. smashed Black, went onto the rampaging Brown too late and kept him touchless)
4. Heppell (broken hand and all.. oh boy wowee.. this man can play 'big time' matches.. will win a brownlow at some point)
3. Colyer (best game by far of his career. Was close to BOG, but drifted out of it late. Speed. Was a doubter.. but I am healed. You are a gem Trav!)
2. JD (20 year old, played a lone hand for key position forwards and before running out of gas in the last was unstoppable. Drooling about what will be)
1. Chappy (did what he was recruited to do and delivered on the big stage. Shame he fell one or two mates short. One more year please)

Hepp's was BOG but it's the last game and Hepp is unassailable anyway so give Joey the 5.
