17.20 to play in the last, Haw break out along the wing. Watching Powell, plod through the midfield, not pushing back hard to help the defense. As the ball gets held up at half forward, he guards space, they have multiple options, but he picks up none. The ball moves around him as he jogs in circles. Has two options he should have picked up with 17.02 to play, but he's just jogging between them (luckily it doesn't go to either, but it could easily have made its way to them). This is why they have so many open players through the middle of the ground. This is why we think we have some good players, but we can't figure out why the opposition cut us open and get a run on. You need skill, strategy and effort. This shows zero strategy (or game intelligence if you will). You can be skilled, you can come out blazing with desperation, but dumb football (even outside the direct contest) is what kills us.

On Wattos centre clearance and goal, Powell is the sweeper who blows his assignment as soon as the ball is bounced. Unaccountable as **** at cba's

This is a big reality check for the team. Don’t mind the loss, but hate the lack of fight from several of the team. LDU can hold his head high. To quote Dimma - “We need to grow the F#%k up as club and stop these +80 point bashings.” Wardlaw out for 2 weeks. So WillPhil in for him. Fisher can piss off. So Duursma in for him. If Chom is fit, then Dawson can go out. RHJ out for Harvey. Maybe Darling needs a spell, so bring in Finbar Maley. This match has undone a lot of the good work for the past 8 weeks. Just really disappointed and I’ll leave it at that.

Midfields have the biggest influence over a side's success or failure. We're 16th on the ladder in large part because our midfield is so poor defensively and so flakey.
