He hasn't shut up about that the last two weeks. Though I reckon that is much aimed at keeping the guys in the 2s playing hard in case there's an injury or suspension.

In his presser he didn't stop mentioning Pedersen. You can tell he wants him in the side but can't drop anyone at this stage

I reckon he's just trying to keep Pederson's morale up more than anything.

I'm worried if we play like rubbish (even if we still win) we'll take that into the Bulldogs match.

Need to go at it hard from the opening bounce. At each break B.Scott should say it's nil all win the quarter. Remember there are quality players pushing for selection. NOONE is safe - go out there and rip someones head off!!!

I would be surprised if the players need to be reminded of this. I get the impression that the players know the importance of the game and you can feel that confidence about the squad. Everyone is up and about including the bloke in the 2's.

We are in no position to be complacent so I don't bielieve this will be an issue.

Would be awesome to see the boys come out with intensity and purpose!!!!!

Can't afford to be complacent, no easy games other than GWS. Melbourne's game against Essendon warrants respect.

Thoughts on this game haven't changed. I think Bon summed it up well saying that although Melbourne haven't had a good year, they still have a some very good players in their side. Need to get off to a good start to set the tone of the game.

Just watching North v Melbourne from the last round of 2010 and we are a vastly different team today than we were then. Players missing:

Rawlings
Pratt
Harding
Jones
Edwards
Warren
McIntosh
Greenwood
Garlett

It feels like so much longer ago that Turtle and Corey Jones were running around

Interesting snipet about the Crows from G Lyon in today's Aged:

They have rarely put a foot wrong this year, their three losses coming against Hawthorn, Collingwood and North Melbourne. On the surface, the Kangaroos loss looks the most damning, but given the Roos' form in the past month, you would say they have only lowered their colours to genuine premiership contenders.

Very astute comment!

No better example of how to play when your expected to win than the Hawks last night. Essendon aren'y much chop at the moment and Hawthorn could have taken the foot of the pedal after half time but came out firing from the first bounce and didn't stop 'til the final siren. I'm confident we'll see a similar performance today from the "new" Roos.
