So, serious question. Larkey and Wood both not interested in playing round 1.. or realistically they're just still a long way off.

Do we go small against Freo?

Blueprint to beat us:

Two switches and move ball forward.
Given the squad composition and effort put into games, I'm not convinced that will hold true for the regular season.

A lot is riding on our back half having enough available players though. Hell, even just having goldy this game would completely change out structure.

Don't think I have seen Larkey play forward much. Surely we give him a quarter to show what he can do.

No preseason. Same as Ziebell.
All about getting miles into the legs and some conditioning against actual opponents. I still think he will take a few rounds to get going but given his track record of playing after no pre-season I'm not concerned yet.

Larkey is being asked to play ruck, back and all over the ground. But hard to give a young kid early in his career that brief. Wood is just puss!
Agree strongly with the first part, still on the fence on the second. Wood still looks ripe to rip the game apart; it's all mental for him now.
