Two sides that sit at 4-5 at the moment, with St Kilda 5% more (courtesy of an Eagles demolition).
Pre season many had the Saints playing finals. Some thought their expensive recruits might elevate them to real contenders. They've yet to hit their straps though. TDK and Marshall isn't as great as some hoped. They've looked solid in some areas, but I think they're still a decent/good side. A key forward is still an issue, and I doubt Max King is the answer, though Sharman, Owens have done quite well. Nas has potential to reach his best and Wilkie has become elite. They are scoring more too.
Roos have been a rebuilding bottom 4 side for years and this year it seems They've finally clicked. LDU seems to have got up to another level, and youngsters like Trembath, FOS, Curtis look really good, and Sheezel is showing what hes capable of. Defence on transition still an issue, but better defensively. Parker proving why experience and footy smarts is important.
It's hard to say, and I think it'll be a really interesting matchup. I think St Kilda might have better short term prospects, but North might have a bit more potential as they rely more on their 19-22yo brigade. Could be wrong though.
