30 seconds from quarter time Zurhaar unfairly pinged HTB. Throws ball back too loopily. 50 metres,goal. * crowd celebrate like its goal of the year.

you forgot Lmac looks shocked after free that every else sees is given away , shakes head and trots off grinning stupidly..
then gets to the defenders after that goal - lot of visible pointing. A Few bum pats. Rinse and repeat.
And, … we are controlling play for 5 minutes - then the aggressive inside kick in d50 - pick out of daniel, dawson, lmac, simpkin - straight to essendon - goal. Heads drop.

He's untaggable, as are most players of his type. We could either play LDU head to head against him (provided Brad Scott allows it) and hope that Luke can find some form. This approach also allows him to play without worrying about the tag. Or we could run Phillips on him, but I think Merrett will just burn him off

Will be death by 1000 cuts tonight unfortunately. 5 day break isn’t exactly ideal for a group who isn’t the fittest bunch.

Under sized backline, make shift forward line and the midfield without George isn’t getting me too excited.

Essendon by about 6 goals I think. Hopefully we can bring the intensity, match the contest and hang around long enough to make things interesting.

Coming off a 5 day break, from interstate without 2 of our best players.

Opposition to start with a 5-1 goal start again, we play catch up/match them for 1.5 quarters, then get blown away and lose by 8-10 goals.

I don't distinguish between big losses or small 'honorable' ones anymore (it's not 2023 or 24, that's not a pass mark) , all are equally shit.
