Sadly simmo is right.

There is no genuine hatred between players anymore.

I figure it’s probably because the kids come through U18’s as teammates, they all know each other. They all get drafted together.

Back in the day, Carey, Archer etc all came through club U19 teams. Probably easier to “hate” the opposition when you don’t know them.

You need some tight finals or an incident to ignite a rivalry.

I might be old school, but I just can't get my head around current day oppo players being in our rooms on game day, doesn't seem right. And it doesn't matter that we're shit, it's irrelevant.
