Great news that Kye Quirk has re-committed to the NB's....he was fantastic during the last half of 2019 as an 19yo in defence.

Has heaps of potential, and worth a look at if he can continue that form in 2020.

This is good news. After a nervous debut, I thought Quirk demonstrated that he belonged at VFL level. It was a shame the season ended when it did because I was really enjoying watching the growth in Quirk's game.

Tim Jones and Joe Richards will join the growing list for the Blues this year, adding depth to the midfield and forward lines respectively.

Good to see Tim Jones back at the Northern Blues. He played some good footy in the midfield in his previous stint at the club.

Joe Richards sounds like an interesting prospect. Could be a very handy player for the NB to have up their sleeve.

Only just turned 20 by the looks of it. On Murray's TAC list in 2017. 177ish, slim, FP/mid.

#16 for the Wangaratta Magpies, if you want to take a look at him.

They are stretching the premise of a curtain raiser with those last 2 practice matches. I am almost prepared to accept the first one at Punt Rd, given it is adjacent to the MCG, but in what universe can a game at the Western Oval be considered a curtain raiser to a game at Marvel Stadium?

The stadiums are on opposite sides of the Iron Curtain separating Melbourne's East and West....

Thanks heaps for the heads up.

Hopefully windows1 will provide a detailed quarter by quarter summary.

Based on recent discussion, will be keen to see where Stocker lines up. We have a pretty weak midfield on paper so assume he’ll line up there.

Team lists are:

yeah, you would expect Stocker right in the guts for that hit out.
My guess is Ben Silvagni will play key forward with Goddard and Marchbank taking the two key defense roles in that game.

Or Marchbank on a wing?

Wouldn't think they'd be stacking the backline with Marchbank, Silvagni, Goddard, Collins & Johnson
