ALEX Johnson has re-signed with the Northern Blues, committing to his second year at Preston City Oval
This is good news. After a nervous debut, I thought Quirk demonstrated that he belonged at VFL level. It was a shame the season ended when it did because I was really enjoying watching the growth in Quirk's game.Great news that Kye Quirk has re-committed to the NB's....he was fantastic during the last half of 2019 as an 19yo in defence.
Has heaps of potential, and worth a look at if he can continue that form in 2020.

Only just turned 20 by the looks of it. On Murray's TAC list in 2017. 177ish, slim, FP/mid.Joe Richards sounds like an interesting prospect. Could be a very handy player for the NB to have up their sleeve.Northern Blues Football Club » New duo signs on

in what universe can a game at the Western Oval be considered a curtain raiser to a game at Marvel Stadium?
Thanks heaps for the heads up.Not sure if mentioned anywhere.

yeah, you would expect Stocker right in the guts for that hit out.Hopefully windows1 will provide a detailed quarter by quarter summary.
Based on recent discussion, will be keen to see where Stocker lines up. We have a pretty weak midfield on paper so assume he’ll line up there.
Team lists are:
NORTHERN SQUAD V ESSENDON
13. Liam Stocker, 22. Caleb Marchbank, 33. Sam Ramsay, 36. Josh Honey, 37. Ben Silvagni, 38. Finbar O’Dwyer, 44. Matthew Owies, 45. Hugh Goddard, 46. Matthew Cottrell, 51. Alex Johnson, 53. Jordan Cunico, 54. Jean-Luc Velissaris, 55. Jake Bartholomaeus, 56. Aaron Gundry, 57. Cody Hirst, 61. Kieran Collins, 63. Joe Richards, 64. Tim Jones, 65. Tom Mills, 66. Glenn Strachan, 67. Ben Hurley, 70. Kye Quirk, 72. Noah Wheeler, 75. Ryan Sturgess, 77. Mason Blakey, 79. Matthew Gundry, 80. Jack Boyd
Or Marchbank on a wing?yeah, you would expect Stocker right in the guts for that hit out.
My guess is Ben Silvagni will play key forward with Goddard and Marchbank taking the two key defense roles in that game.
Which is why I think young Ben Silvagni will be trialled at full forward.Wouldn't think they'd be stacking the backline with Marchbank, Silvagni, Goddard, Collins & Johnson
