Can you guys tell me what happened to a kid named Andrew Sturgess - Parade boy I think probaly Year 12. Wasn't a bad footballer. He was in The Knights last year?

Andrew Sturgess....haha he is a dead set parrot. plays for bundoora now and struggles to get a kick, but geee he looks like Mr. Potato off toy story

Yeah, Andrew (Mr potato head/FIG/"She says im ugly cos she wants me") Sturgess quit the knights to focus more on his cricket.

Is co captain of the parade team with daniel currie, the biggest unit since gary warren.

yeh you would think so, he is quite a good player..extremely fierce attack on the ball which will even make some 18's take a backward step, but not a certainty i think he may play a few games. he is also only eligable to play 3 games this year as the new law states. do you know of any other chances who you think would play..the knights are looking like being the most powerful 18's group for many years to come.

can those games be finals? or do they have to be the Home and away season?

Went down to the game against Queensland today. Knights were very impressive in a 49 point win, particularly in that first quarter where they kicked ten goals to one.

Cotchin, Kreuzer, Hobbs, Hurley and Veszpremi were all outstanding in my books. Totino did a great job playing on Queensland's danger man, Dayne Zorco - kept him really quiet and Totino started finding a bit of it himself later in the game. Micevski and Thomas were pretty lively at ground level in the forward line. Grimes showed a lot of class - very clean disposal. I also thought Merkel did some good things in the third quarter.

A bit wasteful in front of goals - Cotchin and Micevski probably the main offenders there, but hey, they were getting their hands on it in dangerous positions and were always asking questions of the Queensland defence.

Bongetti has been named this week! Good news for the Knights. The knee injury mustn't have been as bad as first thought.

Also, a few U/16s have been named on the bench. Tindarra Hood, Dylan Grimes and Stephen Witkowski. It's an extended bench though, so a couple to drop out.

This week the competitions leading goal kicker, Tim Bongetti makes his return from a knee injury. Brett Meredith is also coming back from injury, while Sean Wilson has earned a recall.

James McInerney is in line for selection in his first game after being named on an extended bench, along with U/16 players Dylan Grimes, Tindarra Hood and Stephen Witkowski.

jarryd cachia wud play b4 these u16s yeh? its cause of he's school commitments he cant

How did the young ones go? I just read on another thread that u/16 Cannons player Lucin had his first run down at Warrnambool and held his own so interested to hear how the other boys went.
