I read the article on Luke Penny in the Inside Football. Him leaving just doesn't make sense to me. I just hope Faulkner lives up to the reputation as it may be a blessing in disquise.
See you all in Bendigo on Saturday.

Saw a little bit of Kingsley Hunter yesterday(looks bigger in a Hawks top). First quarter goal, off the ground I think???? In the second he lead Presti to the ball but pulled out of the contest and let Presti mark. Was on the bench for a lot of the game.

Simon Cox is the player we never should have let go of.

Agree on Cox, Chops. Let's not waste time worrying about Penny or Hunter though.

well granted they are two other softish tallish types we have on the list, but I reckon thats an argument for getting rid of them as well, rather than keeping Cox :)

I dont think either of those guys will be getting a regular gig in the 1s if basset, croft and hargrave stay fit (fingers crossed).

If Coxy continued to play like he did last season he would most definitely get a game for us. However if he had have stayed with us I doubt his improvement would have been as drastic, sometimes changing clubs can work wonders

Cox, 54 games in seven seasons, needed another club to take the next step as often players do.
Hunter, jury out, I will wait for the real stuff to begin before passing judgement.
Penny, St.Kilda offered him 500K on a 3 year deal, he hasn't done enough to warrant that kind of money, I don't care how tall he is.
We will need every cent to re-sign Brown, Murphy, Darcy and co. at the end of this year. And besides, Cam Faulkner (the guy we got with the Penny draft pick) is looking like a future star.

St Kilda supporters get excited when they pick up players like Hamill, Penny, Powell, Milne from other clubs but quickly and conveniently forget Lockett, Matthew Lappin, Hall, the Wakelins and Everitt. What goes around comes around.

500K on a three year deal? no wonder he jumped ship.
