This weeks game is going to go off, as Brisbane vs. Essendon always does and has since the 2001 final.

In my opinion this contest is the best in the AFL round. These 2 teams just plain dont like each other. Hopefully Essendon can play tough footy in a techniquely sound manner, unlike last week and in round 1.

This ones going to be hot from the get go.

Also I hope Cupido can get a go against his old club. What do you guys think are his chances of NOT getting suspended?

Haven't actually seen the incident.

It'll probably be an anti-climax. It's time for them to stand up, so that's exactly what they won't do. :( (Sorry all, but not in the mood for being positive!)

Brisbane will kick the first three goals and lead by 20 points at QT. Essendon will kick three goals in the first five minutes of the second quarter, and trail by just two points and appear to have all the momentum. For the next 15 minutes, Essendon will dominate play but will only manage to kick three behinds. Shortly before halftime, Lynch will get two free kicks in the goal square and put Brisbane back in front.

Brisbane will dominate the first 2/3 of the third quarter and pile on six or seven goals to blow the margin out to around 55 points, holding Essendon scoreless the whole time. In the last few minutes Brisbane's better players will get a rest, and somebody from the Essendon bench will go out and kick a couple of goals, and Lloyd will kick a couple himself. The margin will be around 30 at the last break.

Essendon will kick the first goal of the last quarter, to get the margin to about 25 or so. Essendon will then get the better of play for a few minutes but will again kick about three or four behinds in a row.

Somebody like Bradshaw or Brown will get a questionable free kick in the half-forward flank and his opponent (somebody like Henneman or McVeigh) will get ticked off at the umpire, say something stupid and get a 50 metre penalty, bringing the ball into the square. Easy goal, game over.

Sean Wellman will get head-butted by one of the Scotts and have to leave the game bleeding. Solomon or Rama will come in to Welly's defense, sucker-punch the Scott brother and get reported for striking.

Brisbane will then kick three goals in time on to blow the margin back out. With 30 seconds left, Cupido will kick a 55 metre banana torpedo from the boundary line through for a goal off his wrong foot.

With 15 seconds left, Dustin Fletcher will be reported for sneezing on an umpire.

Final score will be something like Brisbane 16.11.107 to Essendon 9.11.65.

Patrick Smith will write an article claiming we paid the AFL tribunal a large sum of money to get Dustin Fletcher off his striking charge this week.

Caroline Wilson will write in the paper that we should fire Kevin Sheedy.

Robert Walls will write an article saying that Essendon should bench James Hird for the rest of the year and then attempt to trade him for a ruckman.

Kevin Sheedy will proclaim that next week's game against Melbourne will be our Grand Final replay.

I think Essendon will come out and play alot better this week for sure. No doubt.

I reckon they are going to get up this week. Its a good time to play Brissy as well...the Hawks almost got them last week at the Gabba, probably should have even won.

And doesnt Lynch have some sort of chronic fatigue syndrome that has been preventing him from playing out of state? Maybe he wont make the trip.

Even if he does, I'm tipping Essendon to win by 25-30 pts. Sheeds has just about got a full roster to choose from too. sweeeet.

Stealth almost spot on, but you forgot the two Scotts will got at Hird together like the cowards they are, and possibly, Barnard will knock someone out (not certain which team they will be on) and Brown will get reported as will Rioli for hitting each other.

Stealth, I thought you were more creative than this! You've basically just regurgitated our last 4 matches against the Lions ;)
