Not Valid Barcode - Finals Tickets!

Finally got through, just bought the concession as guest tickets.

I am in bay M7 which looks like level 1, not far back from the fence!

Which is why I ended up choosing to go the North Membership route rather than the AFL Membership.

I saw that. I figure as I'm on my own I might as well take the "cheaper" option (the one I paid extra for at the start of the year), and if I don't like my seat or my neighbours I can always find somewhere to stand. In 2007 I sat with the cheer squad, which was fantastic for atmosphere against the Hawks, but this time I thought it was better to leave them for people who don't have other access to good seats.

Yes, it's level 1, not too far around from the goals at that end (the EFC cheer squad end, so give them heaps - sounds like they are grouping club members together and keeping Essendon and North members in separate bays).

I chose North Melbourne Members area also and have found myself sitting one level above the * fanboi squad also Apples. I'm taking a vat of molten marshmallows to pour cascading from level two if we're home and hosed.

Someone else here posted that their seat was in M6, so it sounds as though you'll have at least one bay of insulation!

It's life as a North supporter that there is almost always more of them. We stick together, and it is all the sweeter when we see a win assured and watch the sad hordes trailing up the aisles.

I think you might be smack bang in the middle of the cheer squad.

Don't worry though, you'll be louder than them no matter what the score is.

I'm sitting second level, above your cheersquad. Should we get into a position where we can't be beaten from they may get a glorious shower of marshmellows raining down upon them!!

Yes H2H, that would be nice. In the H&A games, its is easier to be selective as to where you sit, but when it is ticketed you can end up sitting alongside the worst possible supporters. Mind you are there any different sorts of *essendon supporters?

Watch the blame game start as to whose fault this stuff up is. AFL will blame tiketek who will blame the club who will blame AFL............

I did the same. Problem is how/ will they honour the 20% discount in week 2 of finals as advertised if members bar codes not being recognised in week 1??

The AFL should come out and offer a 20% discount to all North members.

I had no problems myself BTW.

Yeah that was the only issue. Not sure what happens there, you would hope they would honour it for North supporters seeing as so many people had trouble.

I had a different barcode number come through on email which was the one that eventually worked rather than my actual membership number, weird.

Bit of a farce though, took about 3-hours to get my tickets this morning.

Yep I have, it did take me 2 hours but at around 11:00 I just put my barcode in and all of a sudden it worked. A monumental pain but I've finally got me my tickets

just keep putting it in. My guess this is a database retrieval issue, probably because the servers are under intense load.

That's what happens when NMFC makes a first home final in 7 years!
