Its unlikely you will be able to connect your ipad/phone to a TV as the AFL app will disable it, they make it so you can only watch it on a small screen. They don't want people connecting it up to a huge screen and therefore choosing to pay a lot less for the app than an expensive foxtel pack. It's annoying but it all about the agreement and $$$.
Some can be bypassed through HDMI apparently, they usually block the wireless ones.

It works through screen mirroring, but the quality really suffers.

Went into the public toilets behind our cheer squad just before first bounce - and there's Chris Grant washing his hands at the basin like an ordinary human being. Dressed up in his Doggies gear like one of us.

Hey guys
What was the theme song played right before the 1st bounce?
Cheers red
It's a song written especially for the team by some Melbourne musicians, I can't remember who they were, they were at our club launch where it was first played. Do you like it?

I left bigfooty alone for an hour or so.... 2 banter threads came and went.... Some people trolled, some had no idea and the world kept turning.
The biggest troll of the day has to be Essendon. By losing, they will keep Buckley employed for another year. No punishment could be greater for the PartyPies.

Right up until about 10 minutes before the game the whole Grant family were sitting up on level 3 around aisle 18/19.

I was just curious.

The original song is here: https://myspace.com/randymoonunit/music/song/retro-rollers-64794698-70936288

The Western Bulldogs' season launch on Tuesday night was an understated affair, with president, chief executive and coach all addressing a record crowd without buying into the hype around their club.

Then a song was played, the lyrics of which had been reworked by the players. It was called Western Bulldogs - Taking Over.

Footballers and music have long made for a treacherous marriage - see the 1981 compilation Footy Favourites, or Stephen Kernahan's post-1987-premiership version of Stand By Your Man. The Bulldogs' foray into songwriting won't win any ARIAs, but it will stand as another example of a coach who is prepared to do things his own way.

Luke Beveridge introduced to the crowd of 1000 "some very talented, musically-minded friends of mine", who with their Moorabbin band Randy Moon Unit had penned "a handful of catchy songs". Beveridge knew them from his days coaching St Bede's-Mentone in the amateurs, and on the Bulldogs' Sunshine Coast pre-season camp in February he set the players the task of reworking one of their numbers, "Retro Rollers", into a song for the Dogs.

Michael "Mouse" Wintle was joined on Tuesday night by his bassist brother Paul ("Ratboy") and Jono Kane, who Beveridge said spent "hours and hours" producing the song with Mouse. The result, played to a backdrop of on-field highlights, is an infectious number that's set to get a run around at Bulldogs' games, full of "battering bones and rattling cages" and imploring the faithful to "get up, get up, get up for the weekend".

Rather amusing :p I wonder which players wrote the lyrics?

One for the stats nerds: Saturday night was our 200th game at Docklands (94 wins, 103 losses, 3 draws), now level with the MCG (78 wins, 121 losses, 1 draw), somewhat remarkable as we've played at the MCG since 1925 and at Docklands since 2000. Obviously both venues are equal second behind the Whitten Oval (348 wins, 286 losses, 9 draws). It goes to show we've never gotten enough games at the home of footy!

Small thing that annoys me.
Was mentioned again in the media this week that McCartney taught us how to defend, and beveridge has come in to put the finishing touches on the attacking game plan.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Our D under McCartney was utterly abysmal. The drink is a defensive genius.

Anyways.....
