Rank 1- North Melbourne, 12 x Players (22 Games)

Rank 4- Melbourne, 7 x Players (25 Games)
Rank 5- Essendon, 7 x Players (22 Games)
Rank 6- Brisbane, 7 x Players (22 Games)
Rank 7- Gold Coast, 7 x Players (22 Games)

Rank 17- Fremantle, 2 x Players (22 Games)
Rank 18- Carlton, 2 x Players (22 Games)

So a total of 98 Players achieved Maximus this year which is excellent, apologies to Leon this
post should have had the warning "Look Away Leon" with North Melbourne being on top
of the ladder, but consider that 12 of their starting 18 played every game and they still
failed to play finals proving every cloud has a silver lining. (LOL)

Unsure if anyone has tried this before, but I've been toying with the idea of a footy player Lego Brickhead (not those mini player figurines that have been doing the rounds). This is my first attempt...It's JJ if it wasn't obvious! Trying to get some depth of features (biceps, guernsey numbers, etc) is proving difficult with my limited Lego piece knowledge (give me a bag of Lego with instructions and I'm fine, but actually naming the pieces I'm picturing? Impossible), but hoping to keep practicing and going through the Lego piece catalogue to improve on this first attempt.

Don’t be fooled Foss. It’s only fantasy numbers. Fun, but ultimately of little value.

If the club paid much notice to those stats we’d have delisted Morris years ago.

The name says it all.

No they would not of dogwatch, to use Aaron Naughton as an example a KPD would have a good game threshold of between
60 and 80 points this year Naughton played 10 Games that fell into that threshold which is outstanding for a first year KPD.
Dale Morris is a lockdown defender his good game threshold could be between 50 and 70 points he would have to play a
role outside of his normal parameters to score above 100. It is all relevant dogwatch, but the Honey-Church comment was
a little tongue in cheek, but 106 points away from home is a good achievement.

A wise man once said "leave them wanting more", but he clearly did not play AFL football.

A slice of Elite although fleeting is still Elite and worthy of hyphenation.

Looking through some 2018 stats, I was a little surprised (in a good way) that Lewis Young racked up 14 1%ers in his first game this year and backed it up with 12 in his only other game.

For a kid with a lot of development in him they are seriously good numbers.

For a bit of context, since the stat was introduced in the 90s, the best figure ever recorded by a Bulldog was 15 (jointly by Lake and Roughead).

Other career high figures of note; Croft 14, Morris 13, Hamling 14 (in the GF!!), Zaine 11, Naughton 10, Adams 10.

He's unbelievably good at help defence. His instincts are great and he's athletic enough to make the absolute most of them.

Thus far though he's also been unbelievably poor when made to defend his own man. Makes it difficult to know how to rate him and at present, makes him a neutral presence at best and a net negative at worst.

Would still rather a teenage player with some elite attributes and some areas for improvement than one who is generally just ok.

His negatives are largely down to being physically undeveloped by AFL standards and not playing much defence as a kid. As long as he's prepared to work, can see a big future

Suggest you check out the disposal efficiency on Lewis Young and compare it with Aaron Naughton, then you will have the
answers you seek when it comes to games played last season. Like it or not they are both critical players in 2019, we could
always go back to Fletcher Roberts or swing in Jackson Trengove why do I feel sick all of a sudden. This will furrow a few
brows, but Lachie Young is the player I am looking forward to most of the new batch.

Pendlebury 670/ 25 Games = 26.80
Phillips 664/ 26 Games = 25.54

Versus Western Bulldogs:
Hunter 626/ 21 Games = 29.81
Macrae 623/ 19 Games = 32.79

Johannisen 464/ 22 Games = 21.09
Bontempelli 457/ 19 Games = 24.05
Total = 131.60

So the harsh reality is the "Engine Room" is working fine, but I left out the Rucks, the Forwards and
the Defence because it suited my agenda of world dominance. If we had Ben Brown a small cameo
from Jarrad Waite and Robbie Tarrant could we have gone to the finals ? Who knows.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

It's a bit concerning that we drop off so much in the rankings after our top 5. I'm not entirely sure how you've put this together, but could it possibly be related to the constant injuries we suffered, meaning very few of our players came even close to the full 22 games?

All the teams have a top 22 for disposals and beyond 22, but that means too much typing. I did top eight teams separate to
the bottom ten teams, but there are overlaps that explain quite a lot so I decided to mix them up a little, teams like GWS
and Geelong are quite strongly ranked for their top ten disposal players, but drop into the abyss when you examine the
back 12 disposal getters. Richmond are the opposite very strong at the back end, but quite weak at the top .Tom Mitchell
is an oddity all by himself with his 848 Disposals, 316 Disposals ahead of Liam Shiels which warps Hawthorn's numbers.
Port Adelaide are an oddity for games played with 109 Games from 110 Games in the top five players, 104 Games from
110 Games for the next five players, 93 Games from 110 Games from the next five players and finally 119 Games from
the next 7 players from 154 Games that's not a lot of games missed, but they only barely slip into the top eight of the
Disposal Ladder in two of the four segments which suggests a lack of quality. We did suffer from injuries which does
affect our rankings, but our top end was solid enough.

Here is the Best 22 for Disposals (At their ranking point)
1- Tom Mitchell 848 Disposals (Haw)
2- Scott Pendlebury 670 Disposals (Coll)
3- Tom Phillips 664 Disposals (Coll)
4- Taylor Adams 620 Disposals (Coll)
5- Jack Crisp 601 Disposals (Coll)
6- Tim Kelly 526 Disposals (Geel)
7- Zac Tuohy 504 Disposals (Geel)
8- Tom Langdon 458 Disposals (Coll)
9- Josh Thomas 431 Disposals (Coll)
10- Brayden Maynard 399 Disposals (Coll)
11- Jeremy Howe 394 Disposals (Coll)
12- Jesse Hogan 365 Disposals (Melb)
13- Daniel Rich 352 Disposals (Bris)
14- Jordan DeGoey 338 Disposals (Coll)
15- Matthew Scharenberg 335 Disposals (Coll)
16- Jaidyn Stephenson 320 Disposals (Coll)
17- Dion Prestia 313 Disposals (Rich)
18-Kamdyn McIntosh 292 Disposals (Rich)
19- Dylan Grimes 264 Disposals (Rich)
20- Jack Graham 250 Disposals (Rich)
21- Jason Castagna 227 Disposals (Rich)
22- Levi Greenwood 215 Disposals (Coll)

If I did it by average Disposals then it does change a little as playing extra games gives players an
advantage when you deal with totals.

I dont get how that works
If you mean the best twenty two bit it is just the best top disposal getter from each team competing against each other
and then the second ranked player competing against all the other second ranked players and so on down to number
twenty two. To use an example of average being greater than the total we can measure the second ranked player
Scott Pendlebury who had 670 Disposals off 25 Games which equates to an average of 26.8, our second ranked
player was Jackson Macrae who had 623 Disposals off 19 Games which equates to an average of 32.79 therefore
the total is greater for Pendlebury, but Macrae has the better per game average. As per usual Fossie 32 I don't
post all the good stuff as it takes up eight pages in the book.
