Was she the CMO of SA?In case you didn't see Mastermind this evening:
As usual, the four contestants went through their Specialist Subject topics and then began the General Knowledge questions. One female constant sat in the chair to begin her General Knowledge. Her specialist subject had been Joni Mitchell, at which she done well, but the woman obviously wasn't a very sporty person. This won't be word for word, but one question which was put to her was:
"Which AFL club became known as the Sydney Swans upon relocating to New South Wales?"
After 3 or 4 seconds of dead air, the woman answered: "The Carlton Dogs?"
We can all be thankful that's one merger that has never been considered.
Wow. I played junior cricket with Campbell Mattinson for St John's in the 1980s. Ron and his brother were playing junior sports around Williamstown/Altona at the same time so makes senseJust read that this book was inspired by Ron James' story [not 'about' him]

A novel that punches you in the heart: the powerful, unbearably moving and ultimately uplifting story of twin brothers, Jon and Eden, as they grow up and beg...www.harpercollins.com.au
Not according to this article:Does anyone recall if Ange Postecoglou was on the panel that selected luke beverage as coach in 2014?
I vaguely remember him, John worsefold and luke Darcy being on the panel - can’t find anything on the net though.
Darcy, club football director Chris Grant, football manager Graham Lowe and West Coast premiership coach John Worsfold are on the selection committee.
Swans fans don’t seem to agree with my hot take on Reddit, that maybe some of their players are to blame for the 2016 grand final loss, and not just the umpiring that “ gifted” us the win that they still complain about 5 years on.
Don’t think I’ve ever had so many down votes lol

Swans fans, West Coast fans, GWS fans, Hawthorn fans, Essendon fans downvote anything to do with the Dogs on there. I left it months ago.Swans fans don’t seem to agree with my hot take on Reddit, that maybe some of their players are to blame for the 2016 grand final loss, and not just the umpiring that “ gifted” us the win that they still complain about 5 years on.

I think a space comes before the next letter, unfortunately. ie West comes before WesternHas bugged me for a while and I'm quite certain it's an AFL conspiracy against us but has anyone else noticed that the AFL website makes an exception to rules of alphabetical order (1 exception) and lists West Coast Eagles before us (Western Bulldogs).
I feel the club should not let this slight stand. I shall be writing an angry letter of complaint demanding they rectify this injustice ... and our ruck stocks.

Actually I'm pretty sure I'm wrong....forget I ever mentioned it
I think I may have been making this mistake since 5th grade. Apologies to DRU and curses upon my sub-standard primary school education...probably the teachers faultDogs_R_Us is correct. The word "West" is completed before "Western" so takes alphabetical preference. If we changed our name to "West Bulldogs" or the Eagles changed to "Western Coast Eagles then we'd be first since the beginning letter of the second word "B" comes before "C". Big Footy is wrong.
Perhaps you could propose a name change at the next AGM. Or even ask if we could be called the Footscray Bulldogs again.
Most likely you were reading The Footy Record surreptitiously under your desk when this was taught, or perhaps another sort of magazine?I think I may have been making this mistake since 5th grade. Apologies to DRU and curses upon my sub-standard primary school education...probably the teachers fault
