Looked in again briefly this morning after dropping kiddies at school. Won't have many more opportunities after this due to change in day-time routines and work circumstances.
Not much to report as Tues and Thurs the boys apparently work more on individual programmes, but this is what I saw:
Peakey, Josh and Schammer were first out, doing some kicking skills and goal-kicking practice. Peake is a ball of energy. I so hope he goes on with it his year!
Grover and Gilmore came out next, doing kicking skills and goal-kicking. Gilmore is another who has obviously hit the weights in a big way during pre-season. He's way bigger in the upper body. The boy has talent, it would be good to see him add to the defensive side of his game and start putting that bulk to good use.
Then a group of midfield types came out (Hase, Cookie, Des, Macca, Blackie) and BP, Josh and Schammer joined in with them. They were doing some body-on-body strength work, just pushing shoulder to shoulder balancing on each leg, one at a time. Then they were using one of those mini-trampoline thingys and jumping up and landing on both legs, then one leg at a time, then spinning 180s, then 360s and then landing. It all looked about being balanced and improving balance in their lower bodies.
There were some guys in the gym, but I didn't see who or what they were doing.
