We were meant to have friends over for dinner tonight. They moved to the US 15 years ago and this is their first time back. This flu has ripped through our family and I'm the last domino to fall. But it means we've had to cancel dinner tonight and I'm genuinely devastated. On the verge of tears devastated.

BUT ... I'm out of bed at least. And I've got about an hour before I run out of steam. So let's interrogate the stinky train that is running me over right now!

Zombies are a unique mechanic with a very unique win condition and the whole game has to be balanced around them (or not...the first game was a bit experimental). Genuinely think focusing on zombies day 1 is a terrible idea, especially seeing as there's little value in lynching patient 0 if we do have zombies.

The living kind of have to band together (good and evil alike) to have any chance against a zombie horde, and that just doesn't fit a TIAYG game.

It is part of the wincon of town (and others for that matter) to eliminate them so I don’t see why it’s a terrible idea/little point in lynching patient 0 (who wasn’t lynch immune, just NI N1)

It feels less likely that a zombie claim would be made out of nowhere as a joke by someone who didn’t play that game

I’m inclined to think that in this format with limited information people are more inclined to tell the truth , in part because they may not have the info to know alignment, role mechanics etc

With the mention of Headless' posting I was trying hard to be talking about the game at hand. Just found his posting was odd and the mentioning of the zombies and figured it could have the term I've used a few times which I won't again.
