I am at pains to work out which team should be swabbed first, Canberra or Melbourne Storm.Wow, the Raiders are very very poor.
I think the weekend showed that there are probably only 2 genuine contenders for the title this year, and they played each other on Friday night.
What's the world coming to when you can't bet on Melbourne, in Melbourne, against the team running last in the comp?
Definitely a long time to go.
I gave Brisbane no chance at the start of the season, and they have surprised me a bit, but I think the origin period will smash them, especially if they lose one of their stars. Still think Canterbury have a better chance over the length of the season, if they can work out how to score points (hint: give more ball to Barba).
Melbourne I actually had money on for the premiership when they were paying 17's or something silly like that, so they're doing my head in, with these poor home performances.
I've all but given up betting on the NRL, there's more money to be made on the AFL :)
$50 on Manly at 1.58 should be money for jam - though with the Storm losing to the Raiders who knows![]()
Nice write-up, I am on.ATS - BULLDOGS -5.5 (x1.5)
The Bulldogs will be to strong for the injury hit Raiders here tonight! Canberra while coming off a huge upset win against the Storm in Melbourne, will have to field a very inexperienced side and are missing players in vital spots with Duggan missing with origin duties at fullback and Orford, Shillington, Leroy-Lars and of course Campo all out with injury. The dogs surprisingly have almost a full strength side ready to run out tonight with Ennis the only missing. The Dogs have far to much fire power with Barba, Idris, and Morris. Also an inform forward back lead by Tolman and Pritchard to set the standard for the night. Their new halves are gelling well and will carve up Canberra tonight! Huge letdown spot for the Raiders, this one could get ugly!
