It was almost like they were under instructions to lay down in that 2nd half. Certainly worked a treat.
Been happening all year.

All clubs.

But as the seasons progressed, players have stayed down for less and less contact.

Then you've got this epidemic of guys diving for knees and twisting legs under bodies

Some teams make a habit of it. My side would never get away with it, while Canberra seemed to have a deliberate plan to lay down. It was hard to watch.

They have to, people just hate as it was Mitchell who put the shot on

There is not much else he can do there, he doesn’t aim high, Gagai has dragged him down and Mitchell is coming across in cover.

Is this a serious post?

You can’t do it mate. You can blame body height all you want. You can’t use your shoulder with no arms to hit someone anywhere. He never once made any effort to get his arms involved in the tackle. The absolute best case scenario was that he hits him around the high chest and gives away a penalty for a shoulder charge. He has caved an ex-teammate’s face in, he has made no apology, and he even had the arrogance to fire up when a clearly distressed and disfigured Manu remonstrated with him.

I hate how soft some aspects of the game have become and the idea that an accident can see a player suspended for weeks. But that was pure thuggery with no apology or contrition and it is a habit that has crept into Mitchell’s game as his reputation and ego have grown. It was a ******* disgrace and anyone defending it is delusional.

Have zero to lose. If JWH gets off 10 charges I can see this being downgraded

He doesn’t. He’s been suspended at a rough guess, about 12-13 times. He was rubbed out 6 times in 4 seasons at one point and that was 7 years ago. Remember we have a state of origin back rower sitting his second suspension of the season for a crusher tackle that was not picked up at first glance by anyone, and was about as far removed from deliberate as you can possibly get. We also have another representative back rower sitting out who, while a few times has been suspended for blatantly illegal acts, only has to sneeze on someone to get rubbed out. There’s a fair few things people can have a crack at the roosters about. Being some sort of protected species by the MRP is not one of them.

Mate he has to come in and put a shot on 9 weeks is an absolute joke

Who cares that they are ex teammates that’s irrelevant

He never once aimed high 9 weeks for that is a disgrace
