I thought they were pretty gallant last night. Sexton showed he belongs still and they were the walking wounded in the second half.

As remarked the other day during the Dogs' game, is Stephen Crichton really the best centre in the world? There's some competition.

He was. He’s been coasting for a while now. I’d take Herbie over him any day for starters. They flog themselves silly over his defence: well straight away (no watch him concede 3 tries tonight) I’d take Toia over him as a defender and he’s in his first season of first grade. Crichton’s defence relies on taking risks rather than playing percentages - hence he has taken so many intercepts over his career and he DOES jam a lot of blokes because of it but he still gets caught out of position and in general since people began to really talk him up I think he’s begun to believe his own press a bit and his game has dropped off somewhat. He’s got plenty of time left to get back to his best though.
