I am wondering what you guys thought of this years RAMS side in the tac cup, how they would fare against a calder or eastern side.

IMO the rams midfield were dominant through the midfield with Earl Shaw, Andrew Hodgson and Keiren Jack, but lacked a strong backline and forward line.

Other players that caught my attention were:

Trent Goodrum: Athletic body type, puts his body over the ball, and will be a definate draft chance next year

James Bennett: Skillful player, but probably lacks a bit of heart

Michael Stapleton: Solid defender, hardly beaten

But does anyone else have any comments on the side??

These 2 guys were guns when i played junior footy, but they both played in the grade lower than me. They would have been playing U18 this year, and im sure they were playing rep footy, have you heard of them. Their names are Michael Stakelum and Nick Paine

Nick Paine is playing seniors at Ainslie and on good money to if I might add. Don't know about Stakelum, I have played against both and I have played rep with Paine. Paine is so up himself it isn't funny, but he is a class act, bennet is an absolute champ and so is Ryan Tutt. Andrew Mathis from Weston Creek is also a great player and could be a possibility for the draft next year, wen within a couple of votes of winning the league B&F

Your a myth said:
Clarke was good, played similar to nationals, have you seen any of the RAMS games pieman?
No I haven't seen ANY of them. But I have had a fair bit to do with some kids in that age group. I have wondered - on another forum - whether Clarke would be a good pick up fo the Pies with Pick 55.

Yeah I guess, matho wouldn't get drafted, his heart really isn't in it and he is playing on raw talent, just imagine if he put his mind to it.

Sydney will be keen on Ed Clarke with either their last pick in the draft or first pick in the rookie draft.

Critics seem to suggest that while he has dominated at under 18 level (Carnival and RAMS games) he may not have any scope for improvement at senior level.

about the RAMS,,, ive watched a few of thier games, and they play a good brand of footy for thier age, being physical is thier strength,,,which is a big ask, the team is very diciplend following a strict game plan. You may dissagree, but i truly thought they were the better team of the carnival, and for NT to win, (RAMS got robbed) as the Rams easily beat NT...
and also to the TAC cup given that the teams comes togetha from all over NSW/ACT and only has a few camps, with the team still being devloepd,, players added and droped during these games, compared to the TAC cup teams- who train 3 or 4 times a week together,,,,and have been developed as a team from earlier ages, i belive they still go pritty good against them.
and about ed clark, yes many think his built is questionalble for drafted,, but really if your going buy that,, u are going against some of the best footballers ever to play. Ed clark plays footy like playing a game of chess,, others kids are just out chasing kicks.

Does anyone have information on Keiren Jack, i thought he was one of the better players, if not outplaying clarke. He just goes in so hard, and keep working and working.

Any chance of being picked up next year?

Let us know
