So you think because he attacks the footy harder than anyone in the ntfl he should be banned for life? Has he run through you before because you have seemed all season to be on the case of rubbing him out
whats this rubbish 'he attacks the footy harder than anyone else in the ntfl?', he goes for the man not the ball, I know players who attack the ball hard and he is not one of them-point in case his latest report happened behind play off the ball most people get through their whole career without being reported he has been done over a dozen times but people like you play the victim: its the tribunal/umpire/league/opposition/medias fault he just hasn't got the discipline or temprement to play footy pretty simple

ive got nothing against him I just don't like anyone who goes out deliberately to injure players, when I pay my $12 to get in I want to see players with real courage who back back into a pack or only have eyes for the ball not someone who jumper punches young blokes cause they are too quick and too good. look up Jackson Clarke aflnt facebook you would think the guy has been nominated for a sainthood and the nobel peace prize but you have just got to face reality at the end of the day, there are nearly 200 premier league players up here doing the right thing playing footy the right way trying to hold up the cup-they are the ones who im interested in. getting back to the footy.... crocs won a hard game over tiwi, tigers still have the wood over saints and buffs have the wood over tahs hopefully my eagles will have the wood over pies today. any team in the top 5 (or 6) is capable of winning premiership but districts still look the goods their finals record in the last few years has been terrible saints are the finals specialists but if they have to play too many games in finals series the old legs off their retirees might let them down, every side has their 4 fly ins settled and there will be a lot of frequent flyer points in the next few weeks.

Pretty standard weekend of footy. Tiwi have really lifted lately, would be good to see them go all the way. Overall, besides Districts and Palmerston, its a pretty even year i reckon. If someone manages to knock Districts out, it will be pretty open. I don't see it happening though.

Only 2 games to go, I don't see the ladder changing from here, with Tahs missing out due to a percentage drop against Districts. Going to be a cracker in Round 18 between Tahs and Tiwi at Tracy Village for 5th spot though! But my predictions for rest of the season are-

Crocs 66
Tigers 50
Buffs 40
Saints 36
Tiwi 34
-----------
Tahs 34
Eagles 22
Palmy 6

Finals:
----Week 1----
Elim Final: Saints (4th) lose to Tiwi (5th)
Qualifying Final: Tigers (2nd) beat Buffs (3rd)
----Week 2----
Elim Final: Buffs (3rd) lose to Tiwi (5th)
Qualifying Final: Crocs (1st) beat Tigers (2nd)
----Week 3----
Prelim Final: Tigers (2nd) beat Tiwi (5th)
----Week 4----
Grand Final: Crocs beat Tigers

In my opinion, with the Liddle case, i don't think he should get rubbed for life. I think he should get a 1 year ban, but his slate doesn't get wiped clean. 1 year ban and "probation", if he gets done one more time then it's life. Pretty big jump going from 1 week bans over a 15 year period (that's not the case but he's never really had anything too major) to a life ban. There's been a few disciplinary suspensions, but there are also some where he has just gone in too hard with a bump. No different to a game of juniors i played where Jed Anderson spear tackled and dropped me on my head, knocking me out cold. It was rough, and unnecessary, but that's the way he played and you had to respect that. I think a 1 year ban and then 1 last chance would be well suited. They will be deliberating over the "punishment" this week, as he's been found guilty, so will be interesting to see how it's handled. I don't see the NTFL giving out a life ban, they'll find a way out of it

im led to believe when you get deregistered you can apply to be reinstated after 12 months which is fair enough, as far as being spear tackled or making contact when a player has his head down it should be a lot of weeks to show that it is not acceptable and the player involved has to change his technique, you only have to look at the last couple of weeks where one player has received a broken neck and a reserves game was abandoned due to spinal injury

True that! Oh well. Guess we will see how all this goes this week. Surely there can't be any more delays now that the verdict has been announced. Saw that on Facebook RE: the wanderers player with the spinal injury. Any word on how he's going? Pretty sure i saw he had feelings in his toes etc. which is great news

I think he is not too bad but after the incident a few weeks ago they just erred on the side of caution which is fair enough. I think the tribunal is looking for everyway possible to wriggle out of handing out a suspension but they have backed themselves into a corner and wont have any other option but to rub him out

Apparently the footage of the tiwi v crocs game has gone missing and Keegan dingo who is a suspension away from deregistration was reported: here we go again....

If that's true, then that is absolutely disgraceful. Southern Districts would have a lot to answer for in that case. No coincidence here at all. That was stolen by someone from Districts because they didn't want another saga on their hand. Otherwise, the camera would have been nicked as well.

Liddle gets three weeks

And Dingo got two. So it looks like both are going to go! Reckon Districts will keep fighting it or just give in? Apparantly they can re-register in 12 months anyway if they can show NTFL they've changed

probably fight it and try and get one of them off, nothing to lose as long as it doesn't distract the team, yeah a year off you might come back fresh and keen but not really ideal as they are both in late twenties

Saw on Jackson Clark's facebook page that apparantly it costs $2500 to appeal a sentence. That would be $5000. That's a fair bit of money to spend. end of the day, they both got multiple weeks too, so it's not like trying to reduce a 1 week ban to a reprimand. But who knows!

Sorry Theroost, l have to totally disagree with you here, he reminds me of a Melbourne train, he's never on time always late.

Lot of interest in tiwi v tahs for finals spot districts and saints easy games but got to be careful playing teams in last games with nothing to lose tigers and buffs will want a win but will be more interested in next week

Whos your tip for that last spot?
